Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Philadelphia Phillies 1:05 PM ET

J.T. Realmuto 2+ Total Bases (+162 per DraftKings)

Phillies catcher J.T. Realmuto hasn’t been living quite up to his standards to start the season, but luckily there’s a long way to go. Realmuto now has 7 hits in 29 ABs with 12 total bases. Last year he showed to be very effective in day games with a .296 batting average, as opposed to .240 at night, and not to mention the better slugging percentage. This afternoon Realmuto and the Phillies will be facing Brandon Pfaadt, who Realmuto seems to hit well, getting hits in 2/3 ABs. Pfaadt also hasn’t exactly gotten off to the best start this year either, with a 6.75 ERA.

Janson Junk Over 4.5 Strikeouts (+127 per DraftKings)

We’ve seen Janson Junk pitch in 2 games this season, and he has had some pretty impressive stuff. He currently holds a 3.09 ERA, and has 8 strikeouts, with 5 coming in his first game, and 3 in his second. As it stands he is a 6.17 K/9 guy, though he has an average of 6.62, so there’s room for him to improve early this season. Luckily, the Tigers are one of the most strikeout-prone teams in the MLB, currently sitting 8th in total strikeouts at 128. Even with this being a day game, it is still pretty cool in Detroit this time of year, limiting what can be done at the dish.

Athletics vs. New York Mets 4:10 PM ET

Francisco Alvarez Over 0.5 Hits (-140 per DraftKings)

Early on this season, Mets catcher Francisco Alvarez has quietly gotten off to a strong start, with a .278 batting average, coming with 10 hits in 36 at-bats. Alvarez has also managed to have a hit in 2 of his last 3 games, including 1 yesterday against this Athletics team. He doesn’t have any history against A’s pitcher Jacob Lopez, but is typically better against left-handed pitching. Lopez has also had a 6.48 ERA, which means he can allow some traffic on the basepaths.

Washington Nationals vs. Milwaukee Brewers 7:10 PM ET

CJ Abrams Over 0.5 Hits(-151 per DraftKings)

CJ Abrams has been really effective lately at the plate, and I’m happy to continue riding the hot hand. Abrams is batting .311 and has 4 hits in his last 3 games, including 2 in yesterday’s game against Milwaukee. Going up against a familiar face in Kyle Harrison, Abrams is batting .286 against him across his career in 7 at-bats. Given that history between the 2, I don’t see a way Abrams doesn’t get a hit in today’s matchup.

Cleveland Guardians vs. Atlanta Braves 7:15 PM ET

Martin Perez Under 2.5 Earned Runs Allowed (-163 per DraftKings)

Martin Perez has been decent out of the gate this year with a 3.86 ERA, allowing 0 runs in his first game of the year, but allowing 4 in his second. The game this evening will be played at home at night, and this Guardians team is just below average in the runs column at 19th in the MLB with 51 total runs. Perez doesn’t even need to have a stellar outing; he just needs to be consistent and prevent runners on base.
