7:40 p.m. ET: Tampa Bay Rays (-120, 8) at Chicago White Sox
Embed from Getty ImagesThe Rays (9-7) won yesterday’s series opener 8-5, taking care of business as -135 road favorites.
In tonight’s rematch, the Rays send out righty Jesse Scholtens (0-0, 0.00 ERA) and the White Sox (6-11) turn to fellow righty Sean Burke (0-1, 3.60 ERA).
This line opened with Tampa Bay listed as a -115 road favorite and Chicago a -105 home dog.
Sharps have sided with the Rays laying short chalk, driving Tampa Bay up from -115 to -120.
At Circa, the Rays are taking in 70% of moneyline bets and a whopping 94% of moneyline dollars, a notable “low bets, higher dollars” one-way bet split in their favor from the wiseguys in the desert.
We’ve also seen a flood of action hit the Tampa Bay run-line (-1.5 at +145), as the Rays are garnering only 48% of spread bets but a hefty 73% of spread dollars at DraftKings.
Tampa Bay has betting system value as a non-division favorite in a low total game (8), with the lack of familiarity and fewer amount of expected runs scored typically favoring the “better” team who is expected to win.
The Rays have a sizable edge at the plate, hitting .266 with a .336 OBP and 78 runs scored compared to the White Sox hitting only .191 with a .280 OBP and 54 runs scored.
Tampa Bay is hitting .269 against righties (5th) while Chicago is hitting just .192 (30th).
9:40 p.m. ET: Texas Rangers at Athletics (-120, 9.5)
This is the third game of a four-game series.
The Rangers (9-8) took the opener 8-1, cruising as -125 road favorites. Then the Athletics (9-8) bounced back with a 2-1 win yesterday, cashing as +110 home dogs.
In tonight’s rematch, the Rangers turn to righty Kumar Rocker (0-1, 4.50 ERA) and the Athletics go with fellow righty J.T. Ginn (0-0, 3.27 ERA).
This line opened at roughly a pick’em with both sides listed around -110 odds.
Sharps have pounced on the Athletics at a coin-flip price, steaming the A’s up from a -110 pick’em to a -120 home favorite.
At DraftKings, the Athletics are only taking in 45% of moneyline bets but 54% of moneyline dollars, a sharp contrarian “low bets, higher dollars” bet split in their favor.
At Circa, the A’s are receiving 56% of moneyline bets but a whopping 87% of moneyline dollars, further evidence of heavy Vegas smart money backing the home team.
Rocker has struggled on the road in his young career, posting a 5.40 ERA on the road this season after going 1-5 with a 9.29 ERA on the road in 2025.
Meanwhile, the A’s are 3-0 in Ginn’s last three starts.
9:40 p.m. ET: Seattle Mariners at San Diego Padres (-115, 8)
The Padres (11-6) won last night’s Interleague series opener 4-1, cashing as +100 home dogs.
In tonight’s rematch, the Mariners (8-10) send out righty Emerson Hancock (2-1, 2.04 ERA) and the Padres tap fellow righty Randy Vasquez (1-0, 1.02 ERA).
This line opened at roughly a pick’em, with both sides listed around -110 odds.
The public is split down the middle and can’t decide who to take. However, despite this 50/50 moneyline split at DraftKings we’ve seen San Diego tick up from -110 to -115. This signals subtle sharp action in favor of the Padres at home.
At Circa, San Diego is taking in only 44% of moneyline bets but a heavy 83% of moneyline dollars, sharp contrarian “low bets, higher dollars” bet split in their favor from the Vegas wiseguys.
Interleague home favorites who won the series opener have gone 58-35 (62%) in the second game, producing a 2% ROI since 2025. If moderately priced -125 or less, like the Padres here, they improve to 13-7 (65%) with a 21% ROI.
The Padres have the better bats, hitting .233 with 78 runs scored compared to the Mariners hitting .205 with 70 runs scored.
San Diego is 3-0 in Vasquez’s three starts this season. He is 1-0 with a 0.77 ERA at home this season.
The Padres are 7-4 at home. The Mariners are 1-6 on the road.
