Wednesday Player Prop Best Bets
Below you’ll find my official plays on the player prop market for Wednesday. These are the ones that make the VSiN Pro Picks page and count towards my season-long record. I’ll write three up per day but I’ll add additional ones in an “Additional Best Bets” section. That’s also where you’ll find any late adds to my card.
Trevor Story Over 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (+111) vs. Yankees

Story has had a lousy season for Boston thus far, batting .189 through 23 games. However, the shortstop does have 17 RBIs, showing that he’s still capable of turning in some big performances. Well, at +111 odds to go Over 1.5 combined hits, runs, and RBIs, I think grabbing Story to have a productive day at the plate is worth it. Max Fried will be toeing the rubber for New York in this one, so the Yankees have their best available starter going. But it should be noted that Story is 5 for 19 with a double, two homers, and five RBIs against Fried in his career. He won’t be intimidated by this matchup. Story has also been a good hitter when facing southpaws throughout his career, plus he enjoys getting to hit in Fenway Park.
Matt Olson Over 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-140) vs. Nationals
Braves at Nationals – 6:45 pm ET
Olson has gone Over 1.5 combined hits, runs, and RBIs in eight consecutive games. He has also done so in 11 of the last 12 games. Olson is just scorching hot at the moment, and tonight’s total is up at 9.0. That said, I feel like riding the hot hand is a good move. Washington will also have a struggling starter on the mound, as Zack Littell is coming off a game in which he allowed eight earned runs on 11 hits in 4.0 innings of work. And while Olson hasn’t quite had much success against the righty in his career, I do think there’s a decent chance he changes that here. I’ll also note this: Olson averaged 2.8 HRR in games with totals of 9.0 or higher in 2025 when playing against right-handed starters.
Eduardo Rodriguez Over 16.5 Outs Recorded (-130 – 1.5 units) vs. White Sox
White Sox at Diamondbacks – 9:40 pm ET
Rodriguez has himself a golden opportunity to turn in a strong start tonight. This has been a really good start to the season for Rodriguez, who is 1-0 with a 1.96 ERA through four appearances. Well, in tonight’s game, Rodriguez is going up against a White Sox team that is tied for 20th in Major League Baseball in wRC+ (95) and sits in 29th in batting average (.218). And while Chicago has been much better against southpaws, I don’t see this being a rough matchup for Rodriguez. In fact, I think we’ll see the lefty go around 7.0 innings here, so I’m going bigger on this than I usually do.

Chad Patrick Over 4.5 Strikeouts (+125) vs. Tigers
