Cincinnati Reds vs. Philadelphia Phillies 6:40 PM ET 16

Kyle Schwarber Over 1.5 Total Bases (-110 per DraftKings)

The month of May has been extremely productive for Kyle Schwarber and the Philadelphia Phillies, as Philadelphia has climbed back above the .500 mark while Schwarber continues to crush baseballs at an elite level.

Schwarber has never been known as a high batting average hitter, but this month he is batting .239 while carrying an incredible .672 slugging percentage. Through 16 games in May, he has already piled up 45 total bases, averaging 2.81 per game, while launching 9 home runs over that span.

Tonight the Phillies will be facing struggling left-hander Nick Lodolo, who owns an 8.68 ERA and a 1.61 WHIP through his first two starts of the season. Schwarber’s career numbers against Lodolo are not eye-popping, as he is batting .167 against him, but he still has a .750 OPS and a home run in the matchup.

One thing working heavily in Schwarber’s favor this season has been his success against left-handed pitching. Against same-side arms, he is batting .239 with a .597 slugging percentage. Tonight’s game being played at Great American Ball Park — one of the most hitter-friendly parks in baseball — only adds to the appeal, especially with a slightly favorable wind blowing out.

Oddsmakers are also expecting plenty of offense tonight with the game total sitting at 10 runs, and with how locked-in Schwarber has been recently, this feels like another strong spot for him to rack up extra bases.

Atlanta Braves vs. Miami Marlins 6:40 PM ET

Michael Harris II Over 1.5 Total Bases (+102 per DraftKings)

Yesterday the Atlanta Braves secured their third consecutive series victory, continuing to widen the gap atop the NL East standings. Michael Harris II has played an important role in that success throughout the season thanks to his consistency at the plate.

Harris enters tonight batting .293 with an .810 OPS on the year. While the month of May has not been his strongest statistically — hitting just .245 this month — tonight’s matchup sets up very favorably for him.

The Braves will be facing Max Meyer, a pitcher Harris has already handled well in previous meetings. Across 9 career at-bats against Meyer, Harris owns a .333 batting average with a .777 OPS.

Harris has also been dominant against right-handed pitching this season, batting .330 with a .544 slugging percentage against righties. This feels like an ideal bounce-back opportunity for him in a fresh series against a familiar pitcher.

With Atlanta’s lineup continuing to generate offense consistently, Harris should have plenty of opportunities tonight to produce multiple total bases.

Miami Marlins Over 3.5 Runs (-135 per DraftKings)

Tonight marks the first time this Miami Marlins lineup will face rookie Braves starter JR Ritchie. Ritchie has impressed early in his MLB career with a 3.32 ERA and a 1.43 WHIP through 21.2 innings pitched, but there are still reasons to believe Miami can generate offense in this matchup.

Ritchie has been notably less effective away from home, carrying a 3.75 ERA on the road compared to a 2.79 ERA at home. Opposing hitters are also batting .220 against him in road starts, which becomes more concerning against a Miami offense that has performed very well at home this season.

The Marlins currently rank 8th in MLB in home batting average at .256, while also ranking 7th in home runs scored with 116, averaging 4.46 runs per game at LoanDepot Park.

Over their last 10 games, Miami has scored 4 or more runs in 5 contests, and they have surpassed this number in 4 of their last 5 home games. After dropping two straight series, expect the Marlins offense to come out aggressive tonight looking to avoid extending that trend.

New York Mets vs. Washington Nationals 6:45 PM ET

Juan Soto Over 1.5 Total Bases (-122 per DraftKings)

After a brief cold stretch to begin the month of May, Juan Soto has started to heat back up in a major way. Against his former team, the New York Yankees, over the weekend, Soto recorded 4 hits in 10 at-bats while piling up 7 total bases.

He has now cleared the 1.5 total bases mark in 3 of his last 5 games, and tonight’s matchup against the Washington Nationals sets up very favorably for him.

Washington will hand the ball to Jake Irvin, who has struggled this season with a 5.91 ERA, 1.45 WHIP, and an 8.86 H/9 across 42.2 innings pitched. Soto has also enjoyed success against Irvin historically, batting .333 against him with a 1.349 OPS and a home run.

Oddsmakers are expecting plenty of offense tonight as well, with the game total sitting at 10.5 runs. In a projected high-scoring environment against a struggling pitcher, this feels like another strong opportunity for Soto to continue his recent surge at the plate.

Luis Garcia Over 1.5 Hits+Runs+RBIs (-133 per DraftKings)

Luis Garcia Jr. has quietly been one of the more consistent bats in the Nationals lineup this season. Entering tonight’s matchup against the Mets, Garcia is batting .273 with 22 RBIs, 18 runs scored, and a .733 OPS.

His production has been even better in May, where he owns a .325 batting average alongside a .600 slugging percentage, 6 RBIs, and 4 runs scored. Garcia has consistently been producing quality contact lately, and tonight’s matchup could provide another strong opportunity offensively.

The Nationals will be facing Christian Scott, whom most of the lineup has very limited experience against. Garcia, however, has already found success in a small sample size, recording a home run and a 2.667 OPS in just 2 at-bats against him.

With sportsbooks projecting this game to be one of the higher-scoring matchups on the slate, Garcia should have plenty of opportunities to contribute offensively either through hits, runs scored, or RBIs. Given how well he has been swinging the bat recently, this prop feels very attainable tonight.
