Player props have become one of baseball’s most entertaining ways to bet, offering value well beyond the moneyline, run line, or game total. Each day, this column highlights the best opportunities on the board — from strikeouts and hits to total bases and pitcher outs recorded — using matchup data, recent form, and betting trends to identify edges. Keep reading for the top MLB player prop picks for June 24. Also, make sure you check out our live VSiN programming for more. Wednesday Player Prop Best Bets

Below you’ll find my official plays on the player prop market for Wednesday. These are the ones that make the VSiN Pro Picks page and count towards my season-long record. I’ll write three up per day, but I’ll add additional ones in an “Additional Best Bets” section. I go lighter on baseball than I do other sports. My MLB units are 50% of what my normal units are.

Trey Gibson Over 4.5 Strikeouts (-115 – 1.5 units) & Alt Strikeouts 6+ (+190) vs. Angels

Orioles at Angels – 4:07 pm ET

Gibson is on fire with his swing-and-miss stuff coming into this game. He had seven strikeouts against the Padres on June 13, then he followed that up with eight strikeouts against the Dodgers. The righty is at risk of getting a little banged up, as he still gave up a total of nine earned runs in those two starts. However, it’s hard not to like Gibson to do some damage in the strikeouts column tonight. The Angels have the second-highest strikeout rate (24.9%) and whiff percentage (27.5%) in baseball this year, making this the perfect matchup for the righty.

Noah Cameron Over 4.5 Strikeouts (+114) vs. Rays

Royals at Rays – 6:40 pm ET

The Rays are as tough of a matchup as you can get for strikeouts, but 4.5 is too hard to pass up with Cameron — especially at plus-money odds. This season, the lefty is averaging 5.0 strikeouts per game and has gone Over a total of 4.5 in eight of his 14 outings. He has also had at least six strikeouts in three of his last four starts, so he comes into this one in a nice rhythm. He also averaged 7.5 strikeouts per game in his most recent pair of road outings, so he might enjoy pitching at pitcher-friendly Tropicana Field.

Ryan Weathers Over 5.5 Strikeouts (-115) vs. Tigers

Yankees at Tigers – 6:40 pm ET

I looked into taking Tarik Skubal’s strikeouts prop tonight, but give me Weathers at a lower total and better number. This season, Weathers is averaging 6.4 strikeouts per game, and he comes into this one having gone Over 5.5 Ks in eight of his 14 outings. Weathers’ stuff is absolutely nasty, plus this matchup is strong. While New York’s 23.0% strikeout rate was the reason I looked to Skubal, Detroit’s is right there at 22.9%.
