Baltimore Orioles vs. Philadelphia Phillies

Phillies starting pitcher Ranger Suárez has been tremendous at avoiding self-inflicted damage this season, posting a 2.68 ERA with just 0.6 home runs and 2.4 walks per nine innings. Orioles starting pitcher Trevor Rogers has been one of the few bright spots for the team this season, posting a 1.44 ERA and allowing just two home runs across 56 1/3 innings, though he’s backed by a lineup averaging fewer than 3.6 runs per game away from home—last in the American League.

Pick: Orioles vs. Phillies Under 8.5 Runs (Greg’s Handicapped Total: 7.6)

2:20 PM Eastern

Cincinnati Reds vs. Chicago Cubs

Cubs starting pitcher Cade Horton has a 3.43 ERA, but a 4.15 fielding independent pitching (FIP) mark, with 6.5 strikeouts and 3.1 walks per nine innings. Reds starting pitcher Andrew Abbott has allowed two earned runs or fewer in 16 of his 19 starts this season, carrying a 2.15 ERA with 0.9 home runs and 2.7 walks allowed per nine innings.

Pick: Reds Moneyline +125 (Greg’s Handicap: Reds +113)

4:07 PM Eastern

Tampa Bay Rays vs. Los Angeles Angels

Angels starting pitcher Tyler Anderson enters in a rut, allowing at least four runs in three of his past four starts and in eight of his past 13. He has a 4.49 ERA with a 5.32 FIP, along with 3.5 walks and 1.7 home runs allowed per nine innings. Rays starter Shane Baz has a 4.79 ERA with 1.5 home runs and 3.3 walks per nine innings allowed, but he’s backed by a bullpen that ranks 10th in ERA at 3.77, while the Angels bullpen ranks 27th with a 4.94 ERA.

Pick: Rays Moneyline -105 (Greg’s Handicap: Rays -133)
