Game: Army Black Knights vs. Navy Midshipmen
Date: December 13th at 3:00 PM ET
Where to Watch: CBS
With a lot of college football teams’ seasons already at an end, and conference championship weekend being last week, you would think that regular season college football is over. But as with every year, one of the best rivalries in all of sports is the annual Army Navy football game, which is rightfully granted its stand-alone time slot at 3 o’clock the week after conference championships.
These teams will go head-to-head in one of the most heated rivalry games of the year, and both squads leave everything out on the field. The Black Knights from Army have put together a strong campaign in 2025 with a 6-5 overall record, making themselves bowl eligible. Offensively they haven’t stacked up well with the rest of the FBS, as they average 327.9 yards per game (108th in FBS), along with 22.6 points per game (94th in FBS). They’ve been much better defensively, allowing just 358.3 yards per game (46th in FBS), along with 21.8 points per game (34th in FBS).
Navy was actually in playoff talks to be the Group of 5 bid until November and ended their season with a 9-2 record. The Midshipmen offense has been strong, averaging 422.6 yards per game (24th in FBS), along with 30.5 points per game (30th in FBS). Their defense hasn’t been quite up to the same standard, allowing 417.4 yards per game (107th in FBS), as well as 28.9 points per game (86th in FBS). Even with Navy having the better season, this will be sure to have all the excitement around it, and that Army team won’t allow Navy to run away with this one without a fight.

Army and Navy have split the last 8 contests 4 apiece, though the ATS has favored Navy, as they have covered in 4, while Army has covered in 3, and there has been 1 push. The total in the last 8 has gone 3-4-1.

The Midshipmen are currently a 4-7 ATS team, with a 2-5 record as a favorite, and a 3-5 record in the American Conference. Navy games have actually favored the over however, hitting in 8 of 11, with 6 of 7 as a favorite, and 5 of 8 in the conference.
Final Thoughts
As we near this historic rivalry that has favored Navy all time (63 wins to 55), you can feel the tension building. It will be fun to see how a strong offense in Navy’s clashes with the strong defense of Army. On the opposite side, we will see a lackluster offense in Army’s vs a lackluster defense in Navy’s. It should be a close battle, and for that reason I’m taking Army to cover, and the under to hit.
