Today marks the second Signature Event of the PGA Tour season, coming just one week after the last one. The field now heads to Tiger Woods’ tournament, the Genesis Invitational at Riviera Country Club. Many of the same names we saw at Pebble Beach are back in action, looking to secure a statement win and build early-season momentum.

The Golfers

J.T. Poston: Poston hasn’t gotten off to a blazing start, but he has been steady, making three of three cuts this season, though he has yet to crack the top 25. He has competed in the Genesis Invitational eight times in his career, making the cut six times with one top-10 finish and another top-25 result. Statistically, he has been solid in the long game, performing well off the tee and on approach. However, he has struggled around the greens and has been slightly below average with the putter, currently sitting 75th in Strokes Gained: Total. From a betting perspective, there isn’t much value this week, as he is listed at +240 for a top-20 finish — a price that carries too much risk given his inconsistent form and lack of elite finishes at Riviera.

Tom Hoge: Hoge is coming off a top-15 finish last week at Pebble Beach, his second-best result of the season. Through five events, he has made four cuts, recording one top-10 and that top-15 finish. He has played this event nine times, making seven cuts with one top-10 and one additional top-25 finish. We’ve seen some improvement in his ball striking — typically his strength — though it still hasn’t fully returned to peak form. Where Hoge has truly excelled this season is on the greens, ranking 34th on tour in putting and gaining over half a stroke per round. In Strokes Gained: Total, he remains near tour average at 91st, suggesting there is still room for growth. At +360 for a top-20 finish and +1000 for a top-10, there is solid value attached to his card this week.

Ben Griffin: Griffin has continued his strong start to the 2026 season, making the cut in all four events he has entered, with two top-25 finishes to his name. This will be just his third appearance at the Genesis Invitational, and he has yet to post a top-25 result here. Griffin has stood out around the greens, currently ranking sixth on tour in Strokes Gained: Around the Green. He has also been impressive with the putter, but improvements off the tee and in overall ball striking would elevate his ceiling significantly. There isn’t much value in his top-20 or top-10 markets this week, but he is currently priced at -111 in a head-to-head matchup against Chris Gotterup. Given Gotterup’s strong form this season, this may be a spot to consider fading Griffin.

Akshay Bhatia: Akshay was extremely close last week to securing a massive win at Pebble Beach. A somewhat lackluster final round ultimately took him out of contention, but it was still an impressive showing. In the two cuts he has made this season out of four events, he has recorded two top-10 finishes, including that third-place result last week. We’ve only seen him compete in the Genesis Invitational once, where he finished inside the top 10.

This year, Bhatia has been consistent across nearly every Strokes Gained category, with the exception of off the tee. Overall, he ranks 37th on tour in Strokes Gained: Total, gaining roughly one stroke per round on the field. While his top-20 price of +175 isn’t overly appealing, he sits at +450 for a top-10 finish. He also has a Round 1 matchup against Keegan Bradley, where there appears to be solid value at +100.

Ryan Gerard: Gerard has already begun building early-season momentum, making all four cuts with two runner-up finishes and another top-25 result. This will mark his first appearance at the Genesis Invitational, so there’s no course history to reference. Gerard is gaining strokes in every category except around the green and currently ranks 14th on tour in Strokes Gained: Total. Like Bhatia, the +175 price for a top-20 doesn’t offer much value, but +490 for a top-10 is intriguing. He does not have any head-to-head matchup props posted this week.

Lucas Glover: Glover made his first start of the season last week at Pebble Beach, finishing in a tie for 64th. His track record at the Genesis Invitational hasn’t been strong, as he has made the cut in just five of 13 appearances, with only one top-25 finish. With only one event under his belt this year, the sample size is limited, but he has struggled in nearly every Strokes Gained category outside of approach, where he currently ranks 24th on tour. From a betting standpoint, this feels like a fade spot for Glover, though if you’re searching for longshot value, he is +650 for a top-20 finish.

Andrew Novak: Novak has had an up-and-down start to the season, making two of four cuts with one top-10 finish. He has played the Genesis Invitational once, finishing inside the top 25 — an encouraging sign heading into this week. Statistically, he has been fairly average across the board in the Strokes Gained categories, which explains his 106th ranking in Strokes Gained: Total, slightly below tour average. Given his prior success here, there is appealing value on Novak at +490 for a top-20 finish, along with notable upside at +1100 for a top-10.
