UAB Blazers vs. Memphis Tigers

UAB has done a great job maximizing possessions, leading the nation in fewest turnovers per possession, while Memphis ranks 334th in that category. Memphis is also allowing opponents to rebound 33.1% of their missed shots as offensive rebounds, ranking 336th in defensive rebound percentage, while UAB ranks 41st in defensive rebound percentage. Memphis ranks 14th in opponent three-point shooting percentage, but that edge is diminished by UAB ranking 21st in highest percentage of field goal attempts that are two-point shots.

Picks: UAB +4.5 and Over 149.5 (Greg’s Handicap UAB +2.5 and Total 152.5)

Holy Cross Crusaders vs. Bucknell Bison

Both teams are playing at a slow tempo, with Bucknell ranking 260th in possessions per game and Holy Cross 339th. Both have struggled to score, with Holy Cross 275th in points per possession and Bucknell 329th. Bucknell has massive turnover issues, ranking 319th in turnovers per possession. Neither team generates second chances, as Bucknell ranks 324th in offensive rebound percentage and Holy Cross 359th, with only 19.3% of their missed shots becoming offensive rebounds.

Ohio State Buckeyes vs. Michigan State Spartans

Second chances should be minimal for Ohio State, as Michigan State ranks second nationally in defensive rebound percentage, allowing opponents to grab only 19.9% of their missed shots as offensive rebounds. That hurts a short-handed Ohio State team that is without second-leading scorer John Mobley for the rest of the season. Michigan State’s three-point shooting also dips significantly at home, shooting 38.8% away from home compared to 32.9% at home. Neither team pushes the tempo, with Ohio State ranking 204th in possessions per game and Michigan State 263rd.

Iona Gaels vs. Merrimack Warriors

Merrimack slows games to a crawl, ranking 358th in total possessions per game, and further reduces clean possessions by ranking 26th in turnovers per possession generated on defense. Both teams defend the three-point line well, with Merrimack sixth in opponent three-point shooting percentage at 28.8% (25.6% at home) and Iona 35th at 30.8%. Neither team creates second chances, as Merrimack ranks 335th and Iona 320th in offensive rebound percentage.

Saint Peter’s Peacocks vs. Siena Saints

This game should be played at a slow pace, with Siena ranking 359th in total possessions per game and Saint Peter’s 306th. Both teams struggle from three-point range, shooting an identical 30.2%, ranking 337th and 338th nationally. Saint Peter’s ability to generate second chances is key, as they rebound 37.6% of their missed shots as offensive rebounds in away games, the third-highest percentage in the nation. They also rank 22nd in turnovers per possession generated on defense.

Sacred Heart Pioneers vs. Marist Red Foxes

Marist has one of the most complete defenses in the country, ranking 10th in points per possession allowed, improving to fifth at home. Sacred Heart ranks 259th in turnovers per possession on offense and will be challenged by a Marist defense that ranks 33rd in turnovers per possession generated. Possessions should be limited, as Marist ranks 310th in total possessions per game while Sacred Heart is mid-tempo at 201st.

Towson Tigers vs. Drexel Dragons

Both teams play at a very slow pace, with Towson ranking 349th in possessions per game and Drexel 333rd. Offensively, Drexel ranks 279th in points per possession and Towson 286th. Towson games feature few made threes, as they rank 58th in opponent three-point shooting percentage at 31.7%, while shooting just 28.1% from three themselves, ranking 363rd. Drexel ranks 250th in two-point shooting percentage.

Fort Wayne Mastodons vs. Cleveland State Vikings

Although Cleveland State ranks 22nd nationally in three-point shooting percentage at 37.8%, they are just 126th in points per possession at home due to a high turnover rate, ranking 263rd in turnovers per possession. Fort Wayne ranks 20th in turnovers per possession generated away from home and plays at a mid-tempo pace, ranking 186th in total possessions per game. Neither team generates second chances, with Fort Wayne ranking 358th in offensive rebound percentage (19.4%) and Cleveland State 299th.

Florida Atlantic Owls vs. North Texas Mean Green

North Texas has struggled to generate clean offense all season, ranking 247th in total possessions per game and 302nd in points per possession. Florida Atlantic limits second chances, ranking 63rd in defensive rebound percentage, while North Texas ranks 289th, allowing opponents to grab 30.9% of their missed shots as offensive rebounds. North Texas also ranks 360th in three-point shooting percentage at 28.1%.

UT San Antonio Roadrunners vs. Tulsa Golden Hurricane

Tulsa should have plenty of scoring opportunities, as UT San Antonio plays at an uptempo pace, ranking 72nd in possessions per game away from home, and ranks 342nd in points per possession allowed on defense. Tulsa ranks 17th in points per possession on offense. While UT San Antonio ranks 355th in points per possession overall, they score 6.9 more points per 100 possessions in road games than at home.

Pick: UT San Antonio vs. Tulsa Over 158.5 (Greg’s Handicapped Total 162.5)

Iowa Hawkeyes vs. Wisconsin Badgers

Wisconsin excels in the little things, ranking 30th in free-throw shooting percentage at 77%, which improves to 79.1% at home. They also allow opponents to rebound just 25% of their missed shots as offensive rebounds, ranking 49th nationally. Iowa’s defense thrives on creating turnovers, ranking 46th in points per possession allowed and 14th in turnovers per possession generated, but they face a Wisconsin offense that ranks ninth nationally in fewest turnovers per possession.

Pick: Wisconsin -2.5 (Greg’s Handicap Wisconsin -5.5)
