12:00 PM Eastern

North Texas Mean Green vs. UAB Blazers

This game is unlikely to feature a lot of made 3-point shots. UAB is 360th in 3-point shooting percentage at 28.2%, while North Texas is 363rd in 3-point shooting percentage away from home at 25%. North Texas is 322nd in points per possession away from home, but they are stout on defense, ranking 16th in points per possession allowed on the road and second in turnovers per possession generated on defense away from home. They will face a UAB team that takes great care of the ball, ranking second in fewest turnovers per possession on offense.

Picks: UAB -4.5 and Under 142.5 (Greg’s Handicap UAB -7.5 and Total 137.5)

Tulane Green Wave vs. South Florida Bulls

South Florida is playing at a rapid tempo, ranking second in total possessions per game. Tulane is a moderate tempo team that is 216th in possessions per game. They shoot better away than at home, ranking 338th in 3-point shooting at home at 29.9%, which rises to 35.9% on the road. South Florida is 268th in opponent 3-point shooting percentage at 35.5%. Both teams get to the free throw line often, as South Florida is 10th in the nation in free throws per possession made, while Tulane is 16th.

Picks: Tulane +14.5 and Over 155.5 (Greg’s Handicap Tulane +12.5 and Total 158.5)

1:00 PM Eastern

Illinois Chicago Flames vs. Indiana State Sycamores

Illinois Chicago games involve tons of second chances to score. The team is 301st in defensive rebound percentage, with opponents grabbing offensive rebounds on 31.3% of their missed shots. Illinois Chicago rebounds 35.5% of their missed shots away from home, which ranks 12th in the nation. The team is 83rd in points per possession away from home, and on defense, they are 24th in turnovers per possession generated. They’ll face an Indiana State offense that is 324th in turnovers per possession.

Picks: Illinois Chicago -3.5 and Over 143.5 (Greg’s Handicap Illinois Chicago -6 and Total 146)

Quinnipiac Bobcats vs. Canisius Golden Griffins

Canisius has had a difficult time putting points on the board. They rank 352nd in total possessions per game and 348th in points per possession. Quinnipiac is 76th in road 3-point shooting percentage at 35.5%. They should get good looks inside, as Canisius is 301st in opponents’ 2-point shooting percentage.

Pick: Quinnipiac -6.5 (Greg’s Handicap Quinnipiac -10.5)

2:00 PM Eastern

Mount St. Mary’s Mountaineers vs. Fairfield Stags

Fairfield has a large edge in the turnover battle. Mount St. Mary’s ranks 363rd out of 365 Division I teams in turnovers per possession on offense, while Fairfield is 77th in this category. Fairfield gives themselves tons of second chances to score, grabbing 34.3% of their missed shots as offensive rebounds, 28th in the nation. At home, Fairfield is 111th in points per possession allowed. In a pressure spot, Mount St. Mary’s also can not be trusted with their free throw shooting percentage at 67.5%, which ranks 331st in the country.

Pick: Fairfield -3.5 (Greg’s Handicap Fairfield -7)

Memphis Tigers vs. East Carolina Pirates

Both offenses have been a mess this season, with Memphis overall 276th in points per possession and 325th in turnovers per possession on offense. On defense, the team is 58th in turnovers per possession generated. They face an East Carolina offense that has been one of the worst shooting teams in the country, ranking 319th in 2-point shooting percentage and 360th in 3-point shooting percentage at home at 27.3%. Overall, East Carolina ranks 305th in points per possession.

Pick: Memphis vs. East Carolina Under 150.5 (Greg’s Handicapped Total 145.5)

Saint Peter’s Peacocks vs. Marist Red Foxes

Saint Peter’s and Marist are both playing at a slow pace. Saint Peter’s is 314th in possessions per game, while Marist is 307th. Both reduce scoring chances further, with Saint Peter’s 22nd in turnovers per possession generated, while Marist is 33rd in turnovers per possession generated. Marist is fifth in points per possession allowed. Saint Peter’s has simply not made shots, ranking 341st in 2-point shooting percentage and 321st in 3-point shooting percentage at 30.9%

Picks: Marist -3.5 and Under 134.5 (Greg’s Handicap Marist -6.5 and Total 127.5)

Charlotte is looking to slow things down as they rank 335th in possessions per game. They are 282nd in turnovers per possession on offense. Florida Atlantic allows teams to rebound just 25.6% of their missed shots as an offensive rebound, 60th in the country. On offense, the team is 148th in points per possession. They are dealing with an injury to top scorer Devin Vanterpool, who has been in and out of a walking boot in recent days.

Pick: Charlotte vs. Florida Atlantic Under 148.5 (Greg’s Handicapped Total 144.5)

3:45 PM Eastern

Michigan State Spartans vs. Indiana Hoosiers

Michigan State has been stout on defense away from home, ranking 20th in points per possession allowed. Opposing teams are rebounding just 18.4% of their missed shots away from home, which leads the country in a game that likely won’t have a fast pace. Indiana ranks 233rd in possessions per game, while Michigan State is 277th. Michigan State is 25th in 3-point shooting percentage away from home at 38.2%, which might be in for some regression considering they shoot just 32.7% from 3-point range at home. Indiana is 42nd in the country in opponent 2-point shooting percentage at home.
Pick: Michigan State vs. Indiana Under 144.5 (Greg’s Handicapped Total 139)

7:00 PM Eastern

Charleston Cougars vs. UNC Wilmington Seahawks

Charleston relies heavily on getting to the free throw line to get their offense going. They are 27th in the nation in free throws made per possession away from home, which helps offset their 30.8% 3-point shooting, which ranks 323rd. They will face a UNC Wilmington defense that is 63rd in fewest free throw attempts allowed per opponent field goal attempt, and are at an advantage on both the inside and around the outside as they are 24th in total rebound percentage. Charleston ranks 139th. Opponents shoot only 29.5% from 3-point range against UNC Wilmington, which ranks 10th in the nation.

Picks: UNC Wilmington -3.5 and Under 144.5 (Greg’s Handicap UNC Wilmington -7.5 and Total 139.5)
