Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Philadelphia Phillies
Embed from Getty ImagesPhillies starting pitcher Jesús Luzardo has a 3.92 ERA this season despite a much lower 2.90 fielding independent, with 0.8 home runs and 10.6 strikeouts per nine innings. He has allowed two runs or fewer in three of his past five starts and now faces a Dodgers lineup that leads the National League in scoring with 5.1 runs per game. Dodgers starting pitcher Blake Snell has posted a 2.37 ERA across his 12 regular season and postseason starts, allowing three earned runs or fewer in 11 of those outings, but he’ll have to contain a Phillies lineup that ranks second in home scoring at 5.4 runs per game. Both bullpens finished the regular season with a 4.27 ERA.
Picks: Phillies Moneyline +115 and Over 7.5 Runs (Greg’s Handicap: Phillies +112 and Total 7.6)

Chicago Cubs vs. Milwaukee Brewers
Brewers starting pitcher Aaron Ashby is expected to serve as an opener, as he has not gone beyond 3 2/3 innings this season, with 39 of his 43 appearances lasting fewer than three innings. He is likely to hand things over to Quinn Priester, who owns a 3.32 ERA despite a higher 4.06 fielding independent and just 7.6 strikeouts per nine innings. The Cubs lineup has averaged 4.1 runs per game since the All-Star Break between regular season and postseason play, while the Brewers lead the National League in scoring over that same stretch with 5.4 runs per game. They’ll look to challenge Cubs starter Shota Imanaga, who had a 3.73 ERA during the regular season but a 4.86 fielding independent due to allowing 1.9 home runs per nine innings.
Picks: Brewers Moneyline -117 and Under 8 Runs (Greg’s Handicap: Brewers -136 and Total 7.8)
