Milwaukee Brewers vs. Los Angeles Dodgers
Embed from Getty ImagesDodgers starting pitcher Tyler Glasnow owns a 2.94 ERA between the regular season and postseason, allowing two runs or fewer in eight of his past nine starts. However, his 3.76 fielding independent pitching (FIP) and 4.4 walks per nine innings during the regular season could spell trouble against a Brewers lineup that leads the National League in road scoring with over 5.1 runs per game.
The Dodgers counter with a lineup that leads the league in run creation at home, averaging more than 5.5 runs per game. They’ll face a combination of the Brewers’ bullpen and José Quintana, who is expected to either start or serve in a bulk role. Quintana has pitched only once since September 14 and posted a 3.96 ERA during the regular season, with 6.1 strikeouts and 3.4 walks per nine innings for a 4.81 FIP.
Picks: Dodgers Run Line -1.5 (+112) and Over 7.5 Runs (Greg’s Handicap: Dodgers -1.5 -103, Total 7.7)
