Brewers starting pitcher Quinn Priester has a 3.32 ERA despite a 4.06 fielding independent pitching mark, with only 7.6 strikeouts per nine innings. He faces a Cubs lineup averaging 4.1 runs per game since the All-Star Break across regular season and playoff contests and will benefit from the wind blowing in. Cubs starting pitcher Jameson Taillon enters in much better form than his 3.68 regular-season ERA would suggest, allowing two runs or fewer in each of his past eight starts. Like Priester, Taillon should also benefit from the wind blowing in, which could help offset his 1.6 home runs allowed per nine innings this season.

Picks: Cubs Moneyline -118 and Under 7 Runs (Greg’s Handicap: Cubs -123 and Total 6.4)

Philadelphia Phillies vs. Los Angeles Dodgers

Phillies starting pitcher Aaron Nola has endured the worst season of his career, posting a 6.01 ERA with 1.7 home runs allowed per nine innings. He has allowed at least four runs in seven of his past 10 starts and now faces a Dodgers lineup that leads the league in scoring at home with over 5.5 runs per game. Dodgers starter Yoshinobu Yamamoto owns a 2.40 ERA this season with 10.5 strikeouts and just 0.7 home runs allowed per nine innings, entering this matchup having given up only three earned runs across his past six starts.

Picks: Dodgers Run Line -1.5 (+125) and Over 7.5 Runs (Greg’s Handicap: Dodgers -1.5 +111 and Total 8.1)
