6:40 PM Eastern

Colorado Rockies vs. Miami Marlins

The Rockies entered Sunday with 39 of their first 59 games being losses, with just 11 of their first 49 defeats coming by one run. They send Chase Dollander to the mound, who is making his first start off the injured list. Dollander holds a 6.28 ERA, with 2.3 home runs and 4.4 walks allowed per nine innings. Marlins starting pitcher Sandy Alcantara owns an 8.47 ERA, with 1.4 home runs and 5.4 walks per nine innings. However, he faces a Rockies lineup whose 2.4 runs per game on the road rank last in the league.

Picks: Marlins Run Line -1.5 +125 and Over 8.5 Runs (Greg’s Handicap: Marlins Run Line -1.5 -126, Total 8.8)

6:45 PM Eastern

Chicago Cubs vs. Washington Nationals

Cubs starting pitcher Cade Horton owns a 3.98 ERA this season but carries a 4.95 fielding-independent pitching (FIP) with 1.8 home runs allowed per nine innings. He’s backed by a Cubs lineup that leads the league in road scoring with nearly 6.2 runs per game away from home. Nationals starter Trevor Williams has surrendered at least four runs in each of his past five starts and holds a 4.69 ERA. He’s supported by a bullpen with a National League-worst 5.93 ERA.

Pick: Over 9 Runs (Greg’s Handicapped Total: 9.7)

7:05 PM Eastern

Cleveland Guardians vs. New York Yankees

Yankees starter Carlos Rodón enters Tuesday in peak form, having allowed just seven earned runs over his past eight starts. He holds a 2.60 ERA with 11.1 strikeouts per nine innings. Guardians starter Tanner Bibee has a 3.86 ERA but a less impressive 5.06 FIP, allowing 1.7 home runs, three walks, and recording 7.1 strikeouts per nine innings. The Yankees lead the American League with 5.5 runs per game, while the Guardians entered Monday tied for 21st in scoring at just over four runs per game.

Pick: Yankees Run Line -1.5 +110 (Greg’s Handicap: Yankees -1.5 -105)

7:10 PM Eastern

Los Angeles Angels vs. Boston Red Sox

Angels starter Yusei Kikuchi’s 3.06 ERA may be due for regression, with a 4.36 FIP and 4.9 walks per nine innings. He’s supported by a bullpen with the second-worst ERA in baseball at 6.04. Red Sox pitcher Brayan Bello is also a regression candidate, with a 3.83 ERA against a 5.05 FIP, and averages 6.5 strikeouts and five walks per nine innings. However, he benefits from a Red Sox offense that ranks second in the league with 5.1 runs per game at home.

Pick: Over 9.5 Runs (Greg’s Handicapped Total: 9.8)

9:40 PM Eastern

Baltimore Orioles vs. Seattle Mariners

Orioles starter Tomoyuki Sugano owns a 3.23 ERA but a 4.78 FIP, allowing 1.5 home runs and recording 4.9 strikeouts per nine innings. He’s backed by a bullpen ranked 27th in ERA at 5.32. Mariners starter George Kirby has struggled in two starts since returning from the injured list, giving up 11 runs in 8 2/3 innings, including three home runs. His 3.1 walks per nine innings is a significant jump from his career average of 1.2.

Pick: Over 7.5 Runs (Greg’s Handicapped Total: 7.9)

10:10 PM Eastern

New York Mets vs. Los Angeles Dodgers

Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw hasn’t looked like himself, posting a 4.91 ERA with six strikeouts and six walks per nine innings in his three starts this season. Mets starter Tylor Megill, by contrast, owns a 3.52 ERA with a 3.10 FIP, averaging 12.1 strikeouts and just 0.7 home runs allowed per nine innings.

Pick: Mets Moneyline +124 (Greg’s Handicap: Mets +114)
