Tuesday Player Prop Best Bets
Below you’ll find my official plays on the player prop market for Tuesday. These are the ones that make the VSiN Pro Picks page and count towards my season-long record.
Paul Skenes Over 6.5 Strikeouts (-112) vs. Padres

The Padres are striking out at a higher clip in 2026 (22.4%) than they were in 2025 (19.1%). Of course, the sample size is absurdly small, but this still seems like a better matchup for Skenes than it would have been a year ago. Skenes is also due for a big strikeout performance. He was miserable in his first start of the year, giving up five earned runs in 0.2 innings against the Mets. The young ace was much better his next time out, pitching 5.0 innings of one-run ball and whiffing five in a win over the Reds. Now, it feels like Skenes is ready to settle in and dominate someone. Why not the Padres? Last year, when pitching in Pittsburgh, Skenes had a 1.77 ERA and struck out over a batter per inning. Well, this is his first home start of the year, and the 23-year-old should be juiced up from the start. He went Over 6.5 strikeouts in nine of his 15 home outings last year, and he averaged 7.0 strikeouts per game in games with totals of 7.0 or fewer.
Cam Schlittler Over 17.5 Outs Recorded (-103) vs. Athletics
Athletics at Yankees – 7:05 pm ET
Schlittler finished last season recording at least 19 outs in three consecutive starts, and that includes playoff outings against the Red Sox and Blue Jays. The talented righty is also coming off great performances against the Giants and Mariners to open the year, and he now comes into this start with a 2-0 record and 0.00 ERA — while also having recorded 15 strikeouts in two starts. The 25-year-old is just in an awesome groove for New York, and it’s hard not to like him to turn in a good start against the Athletics. The visitors are a middle-of-the-pack team when looking at wRC+ this year, and they also have the highest strikeout rate (29.6%) in baseball right now. That said, I see Schlittler cruising through this performance, with 6.0 innings of work seeming like a pretty low bar to clear.
Jose Altuve Over 2.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (+102) vs. Rockies
Astros at Rockies – 8:40 pm ET
To play the Astros batter props, you’re going to need to go up a bit when looking at the totals. That’s because tonight’s game in Coors Field has a total of 11.0. Well, I’m willing to go Over on Altuve’s HRR number, even at 2.5. Altuve is batting .378 with four doubles, two homers, and six RBIs this season, and he bats at the top of this loaded Houston lineup. On Monday, that resulted in three hits in five at-bats, with two being doubles and Altuve scoring two runs and driving in one. Tonight, I like Altuve’s chances of getting to Kyle Freeland in a similar fashion, as the veteran has always hit lefties hard. Also, Altuve averaged 2.9 HRR per game in games with totals of 10 or higher in 2025. That went up to 3.3 HRR per game when playing with a total of 11.0 or higher. He’s generally reliable when runs are expected.
