The Pacers finally showed up for the NBA Finals, just in time to steal Game 1 from the heavily favored Thunder on Thursday night.
After 19 first-half turnovers, Indiana was still down 15 with 9:42 left in the fourth quarter. At that point, OKC had a 97.9% win probability. According to DraftKings Sportsbook, the in-game moneyline on the Pacers reached a high of +1500.
But Indiana (+10) rallied and took its first lead with 0.3 seconds left on Tyrese Haliburton’s game-winner, his fourth of the playoffs.
The 111-110 victory was the Pacers’ fifth comeback from a deficit of 15 or more points in these playoffs. The Total went Under the closing 229.5 at Circa.
Game 2 is Saturday with the Thunder favored by 11.5 points. The series prices adjusted: The Thunder dropped from -700 before Game 1 to -330 at DraftKings.
