I only have a few plays for the light NBA slate on Monday, April 6. So, while I normally break things down with two separate articles, I’m bringing everything under one roof instead of splitting up sides/totals and player props — a streamlined look at my favorite bets for the day’s slate. Keep reading for my NBA picks and predictions for Monday.

NBA Best Bets Today
76ers +9 (-115) vs. Spurs

As of right now, it looks like the 76ers will have everyone against the Spurs. Tyrese Maxey is the only star listed on the injury report, and the dynamic guard will be available tonight. That makes this spread a little puzzling. I understand San Antonio has been one of the best teams in basketball all year, but Philadelphia is 8-4 in with a positive net rating over the last 12 games. The 76ers were also missing some of the stars in some of those games, yet they’ve been winning and everything is trending in the right direction.
In looking at some of the matchups here, it’s just hard not to feel like Maxey, VJ Edgecombe, and Quentin Grimes can hold their own against De’Aaron Fox, Stephon Castle, and Dylan Harper. Also, while Victor Wembanyama is the best player in basketball right now, I can’t confidently say that he’ll go out there and completely dominate Joel Embiid. When Embiid has been on the floor this season, he has looked the part of an All-Star and has a big size advantage over Wembanyama. Paul George will also be the best wing on the floor in this game, by far. He has been on a tear since his return from suspension, looking a lot like the All-NBA performer he was before arriving in Philadelphia.
The Sixers have also been a good bet as road underdogs of 6.5 to 12 points under Nick Nurse, going 16-13-1 against the spread in those contests. Meanwhile, the Spurs have a losing ATS mark as home favorites of 6.5 to 12 points under Mitch Johnson.

Duncan Robinson Over 10.5 Points (-125) vs. Magic
Pistons at Magic – 7:00 pm ET
Robinson has been extremely consistent with the Pistons dealing with injuries to Cade Cunningham and Isaiah Stewart. He has gone Over tonight’s point total in nine of the 10 contests he has played without those two, and he scored at least 15 points in five of those nine Overs. Well, tonight’s meeting with the Magic will be one in which Robinson will have to work, as Orlando is pretty good about getting out on spot-up shooters. However, Orlando also struggles to guard handoffs, and the team is unorganized defending in transition. So, as long as Robinson continues to be active as an off-ball mover, he should find his opportunities in this one. Let’s just hope he suits up. Robinson is currently listed as questionable, so there’s no guarantee he’ll be out there. Of course, if he sits, this play will simply be voided. But I like the matchup, so I’d like to see Robinson get a crack at it.
Additional Plays (Late Adds, Parlays, Teasers, Futures)
