Now that the weekend is here, it’s time to simplify the grind. Instead of splitting sides/totals and player props into separate pieces, my weekend columns will bring everything under one roof — a streamlined look at my favorite bets for the day’s slate. Fewer words, hopefully the same results. Keep reading for my NBA picks and predictions for Saturday, March 28.

NBA Best Bets Today

76ers +7.5 (-125 – 1.5 units) vs. Hornets

I took an extra point in this Saturday showdown, which has more juice than you would have thought a week ago. Philadelphia will actually be relatively healthy in this one, with Paul George and Joel Embiid set to be out there. It also sounds like Kelly Oubre Jr. will be in for the Sixers, while Tyrese Maxey is questionable. Well, that’s enough for me to grab a key number with Philadelphia. The Sixers haven’t had a lot of time to build chemistry, but this is a team that looked good earlier in the year. They also haven’t played since Wednesday, so this is an awesome rest spot for Philadelphia.

It’s just hard not to like some of the defensive matchups here. VJ Edgecombe is a good perimeter defender for one of the two Hornets guards, plus George should be able to make Miller a little uncomfortable — especially with the young Hornets wing working against his idol. Realistically, if Maxey ends up playing, that’s the only weak defender in the starting five.

Offensively, I expect Embiid to use his size to feast against Moussa Diabate, who is a great player but is giving up a lot in the weight department.

NBA Player Props Today

Daniss Jenkins Over 22.5 Points + Assists (-125) vs. Timberwolves

Pistons at Timberwolves – 5:30 pm ET

Jenkins is averaging 16.8 points per game when playing without Cade Cunningham, and he has turned things up a notch recently. Jenkins comes into tonight’s game having scored at least 19 points in four straight contests, while also racking up at least eight assists in all four. All in all, in the last four games, the talented guard is averaging 22.5 points and 8.8 assists per game. Now, I’m having trouble understanding why I shouldn’t bank on him to go for 23+ combined points and assists tonight. I’m fully aware that the Timberwolves are a good defensive team, but they’re more unorganized this year than they have been in previous seasons. In fact, they’re a bottom-10 team when it comes to guarding in transition and defending pick-and-roll ball handlers. Minnesota also fouls a lot. I just think there’s a good chance Jenkins has a good game as a scorer, plus I like his chances of dishing out a good number of assists.

Tre Jones Over 22.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-121) vs. Grizzlies

Bulls at Grizzlies – 8:00 pm ET

Over the last 14 games, Jones is averaging 25.4 combined points, rebounds, and assists. He’s taking advantage of the expanded role that Billy Donovan is trusting him with, filling up the stat sheet for a Chicago team that is pluckier than people might think. Well, tonight’s game should be one in which plenty of players put up numbers. The Bulls and Grizzlies are both bottom-10 defenses this year, plus both of these teams play at a very fast pace. That’s why this total is up at 245.5 at DraftKings as of publish time. Well, if this does turn into a track meet, I’m thinking Jones will get his numbers. Since the start of 2026, Jones has gone Over his PRA total in four of the six game the Bulls have played with a total of 240 or higher.

Devin Booker Over 25.5 Points (-115) vs. Jazz

Jazz at Suns – 10:00 pm ET

Booker has topped out at 25 points in the last four games, but I think he’s going to go wild as a scorer tonight. This season, Booker is averaging 26.9 points per game when facing bottom-five defenses, and he’s averaging 35.0 points per game in two meetings with this Jazz team. Utah is miserable defending above-the-break 3s, which make up 27% of Booker’s scoring profile. The team is also 23rd in the NBA defending inside 10 feet, where Booker scores 32% of his points. On top of that, the Jazz are awful in transition, they put opponents on the free throw line a lot, and they can’t get out on spot-up shooters. We have just seen a lot of good scorers torch this defense recently. Booker should do it again. We’ll just need this to be a little closer than the line suggests it’ll be.

Additional Plays (Late Adds, Teasers, Parlays, Futures)
