Aaron Nola Over 5.5 Strikeouts (+107 per DraftKings)

After some doubts last season about Aaron Nola, he has risen to the occasion this year and has put together some solid starts. Through his 2 games pitched, he has a 3.18 ERA, with 16 strikeouts. This Giants team is also prone to chasing in situations where they fall behind in the count, and they’re also 13th in the league for total strikeouts at 98. Last season, in Nola’s 1 outing against the San Francisco Giants, he put up 8 strikeouts, and I expect much of the same today.

St. Louis Cardinals vs. Washington Nationals 4:05 PM ET

Washington Nationals Team Total Over 3.5 (-125 per DraftKings)

While the Washington Nationals go into a tough matchup against Michael McGreevy, their recent success scoring has led me to believe this 3.5 number is too low. The game is also in their own home ballpark, where they’ve already put up 9 and 6 runs against the Cardinals. McGreevy also had an Opening Day which has skewed his early season stats. His career ERA is 3.83, compared to his current 2026 ERA through 2 games of 2.53. If the Nats can get to him early, they will have no trouble covering this number.

Atlanta Braves vs. Los Angeles Angels 4:07 PM ET

Mauricio Dubon Over 1.5 Total Bases (+139 per DraftKings)

Mauricio Dubon has certainly been one of the more consistent hitters for the Braves up to this point in the season. He’s got a .350 average at the moment with a .956 OPS. This afternoon he will be facing off against Reid Detmers, who he has a solid track record against, with 11 ABs with a .545 average, and 1 home run to show for it. With this also being a day game out in Los Angeles, I think Dubon could be set up for another solid hitting day.

Arizona Diamondbacks vs. New York Mets 4:10 PM ET

David Peterson 2 or Fewer Earned Runs Allowed (-190 per DraftKings)

This Mets lefty has shown some consistent command through 2 games, even though things may have gotten away from him in his recent start against the Giants. With Peterson’s ability to limit walks, going up against an aggressive D-backs lineup that hasn’t quite found its rhythm on the road should be a good benefit for him. Peterson comes into this one with a 4.66 ERA on the season, with all 5 of those runs coming in that game against the Giants. Through his career, Peterson has been a 4.13 ERA pitcher and gave up a total of 3 earned runs to the D-backs in 2 starts against them last year.

Cincinnati Reds vs. Miami Marlins 6:40 PM ET

Eury Perez 6+ Strikeouts (-205 per DraftKings)

This high-velocity youngster has a phenomenal heater and some great secondary pitches to put batters away. Perez has shown to be a good strikeout pitcher just at the start of this season, as he already has 12 through 2 starts. Playing against a Cincinnati Reds team that is prone to getting behind in counts and having a decent amount of swing and miss, this should bode well for Perez. The Reds currently hold the 10th spot for most strikeouts this season at 103, which should be added to a decent amount this evening.
