Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Houston Texans

Baker Mayfield (over 0.5 interceptions -139): Last week Baker Mayfield did a good job protecting the ball against the Atlanta Falcons. This week brings a new test, however, against the Houston Texans secondary, which ranks among the best in the NFL. At the end of the season last year, Baker Mayfield was tied with Kirk Cousins for the most interceptions thrown in the NFL with 16 total. If you go game by game last season, you will see Baker threw an interception in 9 of the 17 games last season as well. The team he is going up against had the second most interceptions in the league with 19.

Nico Collins (over 76.5 receiving yards -111): The Texans struggled to get things going last week, especially in the passing game. Nico Collins managed only 3 receptions for 25 yards, but I believe they will target him more often this week against a middle-of-the-road secondary. Nico Collins surpassed the current line in 8 of 14 games last season, including the playoffs. The Buccaneers also allowed the third-most receiving yards in the NFL last year, making this the perfect opportunity for Nico Collins to return to his 2024 form.

Los Angeles Chargers vs. Las Vegas Raiders

Ladd McConkey (under 75.5 receiving yards): Ladd McConkey had a solid game against the Kansas City Chiefs last week, finishing with 6 receptions for 74 yards. Head coach Jim Harbaugh does like to lean on the run game, so I expect he will get Omarion Hampton more involved. Justin Herbert also has more options this season in the passing attack, and McConkey was under this projection in 9 of 16 games last year.

Jakobi Meyers (under 68.5 receiving yards): Meyers had a great start against the New England Patriots last week, recording 8 receptions for 97 yards. This week brings a completely new test against a strong Chargers secondary. Meyers is more of a possession receiver, working short to mid-yardage routes, which doesn’t always lead to a high yardage total. Now that Geno Smith has a week under his belt with this new team, I expect him to spread the ball around more.
