Introduction

Quarterback Kyler Murray is coming off his sixth season in the NFL—and just his third in which he played every game, marking the first time he did so since the 2020 season. In 2024, Murray threw for 3851 yards, 21 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. Playing in a fairly mediocre NFC West last season, the Cardinals finished third in the division behind the Seahawks and Rams.

From an offensive standpoint, Arizona’s front office didn’t make any major acquisitions but did add depth at wide receiver and along the offensive line. As it stands, Murray will be operating within the same offensive system as last season—one that averaged 23.5 points and 214 passing yards per game.

Most notably, wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. will be entering his sophomore season. With a full offseason to build chemistry with Murray, it will be fascinating to see how that connection develops.

Kyler Murray has been Arizona’s starting quarterback since being drafted in 2019. While he dealt with injury issues in the 2021, 2022, and 2023 seasons, he still holds an average of 3249 passing yards and 19.1 passing touchdowns per season. When healthy, he has consistently surpassed the current sportsbook lines for both passing yards and touchdowns.

Final Thoughts

Projections for the 2025 season are slightly above average for the Cardinals. This will be their third season under head coach Jonathan Gannon and the fourth under offensive coordinator Drew Petzing. With a full offseason to continue building chemistry within the same offensive system, this could be a valuable opportunity for Kyler Murray.
