It has been a long time since Brady and Stephens were relevant players on the WTA Tour. In fact, Brady hasn’t won a main-draw WTA-level match since 2023, while Stephens hasn’t won one since 2024. However, I have been more impressed with Brady’s recent form, and it’s really not even close. In her first two matches back since 2023, the 30-year-old has lost a pair of three-set battles, with one of them coming against a strong player in Antonia Ruzic. Brady just looks like she’s a little closer to regaining her pre-injury form, and several tennis analysts have talked about how motivated she is to do so. Does Stephens have that same motivation? Also, is she even healthy? She had to withdraw from the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells with a foot injury. All things considered, I feel this is the right spot for Brady to get back in the win column. And I’d suggest trying to play this somewhere that grades an opening-set retirement as action.

To get a better price on Brady, I’m pairing her with Bautista Agut to win a set. I actually thought pretty hard about taking Bautista Agut on the moneyline, but the juice is a little too heavy. So, I’ll get my action in with the Spaniard in this play, and I only have to worry about him getting on the board. Bautista Agut is just a dangerous hard-court player, as he can absolutely pound shots from the forehand wing. Of course, this has been a brutal start to 2026 for the veteran. And I won’t argue with anyone that says Bautista Agut’s best tennis is years behind him. However, I do think he has the game to keep things competitive — or beat — this opponent. I don’t mean to be cruel to Duckworth, but sometimes a has-been is better than a never-was.

PARLAY: Brady ML & Bautista Agut +1.5 Sets (-120 – 1.5 units)

Zhizhen Zhang vs. Adrian Mannarino

Zhang is a player that has had trouble staying on the court, but he’s looking healthy right now. And while he’s only 3-5 at the ATP level in 2026, he’s 5-1 when playing in Challenger-level events. It’s just nice to see Zhang playing tennis consistently, as he’s a good athlete and a big ball striker. And when he’s on his game, he’s a guy that can strike fear into the eyes of talented opponents. Well, with Zhang playing some decent tennis lately, I think he has a great shot at beating Mannarino in Miami. Mannarino is a player that absorbs pace rather well, but Zhang can really move him around and make him uncomfortable if he’s not racking up unforced errors.

Mannarino has also been struggling to start the season, as he’s 5-8 and is coming off some puzzling recent results. Two of Mannarino’s last three losses have come against Sho Shimabukuro and Billy Harris, who are two players you’d really expect him to beat. He also needed three sets to beat Blaise Bicknell in the Phoenix Challenger last week.

With Mannarino not in good form, I just think backing the more talented player is a sharp move. Zhang also happened to beat Mannarino in straight sets in their only previous meeting.

Bet: Zhang ML (-125 – 1.5 units)
