New York Jets vs. Miami Dolphins
Ollie Gordon II (over 24.5 rush yards -116): The Miami Dolphins rookie Ollie Gordon II is coming off his first game with a solid number of touches against the Buffalo Bills, where he had 9 carries for 38 yards. Gordon didn’t get much of a chance in the first two weeks of the season, which is understandable considering he’s a rookie. Any football team with an effective running game knows that having multiple backs who can split carries is highly beneficial. Outside of the Jets’ game against the Steelers in Week 1, teams have used a rushing-heavy attack against this defense, which bodes well for Gordon and his rushing yards tonight.
Tua Tagovailoa (over 1.5 touchdowns -112): Tua Tagovailoa and the Miami Dolphins obviously haven’t gotten off to the start they wanted. Tagovailoa hasn’t exactly been the model of efficiency either, but he has been pretty effective when it comes to passing touchdowns. Through the Dolphins’ first three games, Tagovailoa has five passing touchdowns, and the only week he hasn’t surpassed the 1.5-touchdown threshold was in Week 1. In five full games against the Jets in Tagovailoa’s career, he has had three games where he’s thrown two or more touchdowns. This game also carries massive importance when it comes to the security of the coaching staff and the rest of the season. If the Dolphins don’t show strategic aggression in the red zone, the remainder of the season will be a long one for them.
Cincinnati Bengals vs. Denver Broncos
Embed from Getty ImagesBo Nix (over 21.5 rush yards -109): A lot of folks in the sports betting world are seeing value in rush props for this Denver Broncos team against the Cincinnati Bengals. The Broncos haven’t gotten off to quite the start they were looking for but have the opportunity this week to get back to .500. Many believe the Broncos will have a strong rushing attack in this one, especially since the Bengals will be without Shemar Stewart. J.K. Dobbins has been very effective up to this point for Denver, which is why he will get a lot of attention, and I expect the Broncos will use Nix in the run game as well to keep Cincinnati’s defense on their toes. Nix would’ve only cleared this line once so far this season, but he would’ve in 10 regular-season games last year.
Tee Higgins (under 48.5 receiving yards): Things have gotten off to a pretty slow start for Tee Higgins this year, and things won’t get any easier tonight going up against the Broncos’ defense. Through three games, Higgins has only 7 receptions for 104 yards and 1 touchdown. He has surpassed the current line of 48.5 receiving yards only once this season. With a backup quarterback especially, Cincinnati will want to get the ball into their best player’s hands—in this case, Ja’Marr Chase—who will, and has, received the vast majority of targets.
