Miami Marlins vs. Pittsburgh Pirates 6:40 PM ET
Sandy Alcantara Over 4.5 Strikeouts (-107 per DraftKings)
Following a home sweep of the Arizona Diamondbacks, the Miami Marlins head north to Pittsburgh to begin a series against the Pirates. Taking the mound for Miami tonight is Sandy Alcantara, who has looked much more like his old self through his first two starts of June.
Across those outings, Alcantara has thrown 14 innings, posted a 2.57 ERA, and recorded 12 strikeouts. He has surpassed 4.5 strikeouts in 7 of his 14 starts this season, and tonight’s matchup presents another favorable opportunity to do so.
Pittsburgh has been one of the most strikeout-prone teams in baseball, entering this game with 638 strikeouts, the second-most in MLB. Alcantara has also enjoyed success against the Pirates in the past, recording 7 and 6 strikeouts in his two starts against them last season.
With the way he’s throwing the ball right now and the matchup working in his favor, Alcantara is in a strong position to continue his solid start to June.
Seattle Mariners vs. Washington Nationals 6:45 PM ET
Zack Littell Over 2.5 Earned Runs Allowed (-125 per DraftKings)
he Nationals return home after a successful West Coast road trip that featured two series victories, including a series win in San Francisco. Tonight, they’ll welcome the Seattle Mariners to town for the start of a new series.
Zack Littell is expected to take the mound for Washington. While he has been effective in recent outings, the underlying numbers suggest he may be vulnerable in this spot. Although he hasn’t allowed many runs lately, he has continued to surrender a fair amount of contact, and Seattle’s lineup has been swinging the bats well despite dropping its last two games.
Oddsmakers have set the total at 9 runs despite both starting pitchers entering the game in solid form, indicating there may be several factors pointing toward offense in this matchup.
Littell has allowed more than 2.5 earned runs in 5 of his 13 appearances this season. Against a Mariners lineup capable of generating offense throughout the order, this could be one of the more difficult tests he has faced in recent weeks.
Atlanta Braves vs. New York Mets 7:15 PM ET

The Braves enjoyed a day off yesterday after their series finale against the White Sox was postponed, giving them a chance to reset before a divisional matchup with the Mets.
Ozzie Albies has been one of Atlanta’s hotter hitters recently, batting .333 with a .556 slugging percentage through the month of June. He has cleared the 1.5 total bases mark in half of his games this month and enters this series in good form.
The Mets are expected to start Nolan McLean, whom Albies has faced only once, going 0-for-3. While Albies’ numbers against right-handed pitching are not quite as strong as his splits against lefties, he has still produced a respectable .257 batting average and .399 slugging percentage against right-handers this season.
Back at home and beginning a fresh series, Albies is in a good position to continue his productive stretch and help Atlanta snap its recent losing streak.
Juan Soto Over 1.5 Total Bases (+104 per DraftKings)
The Mets finally got back in the win column yesterday, and Juan Soto played a major role in the victory. The star outfielder went 2-for-4 with a home run, two runs scored, and an RBI, showing signs of breaking out of a recent slump.
While June has been relatively quiet by Soto’s standards, that performance could be exactly what he needed to regain momentum at the plate.
Tonight he’ll face Spencer Strider, against whom he owns a .231 batting average and a .705 OPS. While those numbers aren’t overwhelming, Soto has crushed right-handed pitching all season, posting a .283 batting average and a .558 slugging percentage.
With a low game total and two quality pitchers on the mound, offense may be at a premium. That often creates opportunities for star players to make the difference, and Soto is certainly capable of doing just that.
Philadelphia Phillies vs. Milwaukee Brewers 7:40 PM ET
Trea Turner Over 0.5 Hits (-174 per DraftKings)
The Phillies continue their road trip tonight as they open a weekend series against the Milwaukee Brewers following their third consecutive series victory.
Trea Turner has quietly put together a solid month at the plate, batting .243 while recording hits in 7 of his 9 games in June. While the power numbers haven’t been there, his ability to consistently put the ball in play has remained steady.
Milwaukee is expected to hand the ball to Jacob Misiorowski, who has been one of the best pitchers in baseball this season, carrying a 1.50 ERA and a 0.81 WHIP through 78 innings.
Despite Misiorowski’s dominance, Turner has already faced him once and recorded a hit in three at-bats, good for a 1.333 OPS in the matchup. Turner has also performed better against right-handed pitching this season and continues to look for ways to build momentum after what has been an uneven year overall.
Given his recent consistency in the hit column, Turner looks well-positioned to record at least one base knock tonight.
