I only have a few picks for the light NBA slate on Tuesday, February 10. Normally I break things down with two separate articles, but it doesn’t feel necessary today. So, instead of splitting sides/totals and player props into two pieces, I’m bringing everything under one roof — a streamlined look at my favorite bets for the day’s slate. Keep reading for my NBA picks and predictions for Tuesday.

NBA Best Bets Today (Sides/Totals)
PARLAY: Rockets ML vs. Clippers & Spurs ML vs. Lakers (-132 – 1.5 units)
Embed from Getty ImagesClippers at Rockets – 8:00 pm ET
Spurs at Lakers – 10:30 pm ET
I don’t have any standard sides or totals tonight, but I am rolling with a pro-Texas, anti-Los Angeles moneyline parlay. The Rockets are coming off two full days of rest as they look to beat the Clippers. And while Kawhi Leonard has been absolutely insane lately, Houston does have some size and length to throw on him. Also, with Ivica Zubac now in Indiana, there’s nobody on LA that can really make the Rockets feel the loss of Steven Adams. Also, Houston is 27-7 straight-up as as home favorite under Ime Udoka, while LA is 13-29 SU as a road underdog of 6.5 to 12 under Ty Lue.
Then, in the second game, I’m just trusting in the Spurs, who are better than the Lakers on both ends of the floor, to get the job done off two days of rest. JJ Redick’s team is playing a third game in four nights and the second leg of a back-to-back. This is a bad spot for a Lakers team that doesn’t match up well with the Spurs to begin with.
NBA Player Props Today
Jalen Brunson Over 8.5 1Q Points (-105 – 0.5 units) vs. Pacers
Pacers at Knicks – 7:30 pm ET
Brunson is averaging 9.8 points per game in the first quarter this season, and he generally plays the entire period. That’s just the way the Knicks rotation works, and that could mean another big opening quarter for New York’s superstar. Brunson had 10 points in the first quarter in his most recent meeting with the Pacers, and the matchup is perfect for him. Indiana is a bottom-five defense when it comes to guarding inside 10 feet and defending pick-and-roll ball handlers. Brunson does a lot of damage in that part of the floor, and he does a ton of work in that action. Indiana also puts opponents on the free throw line a bunch, and Brunson knocks down 4.9 free throws per game. I’ll also add that the Pacers aren’t as good as they should be in isolation, even with some good defensive guards on the roster.
I did think about going with Brunson to go Over on his point total for the game, but the Knicks could win this one by a pretty significant margin. So, instead of having to hope Brunson plays the fourth quarter, I’m just hoping he dominates the first.
Mark Williams Over 12.5 Points (+105) vs. Mavericks
Mavericks at Suns – 9:00 pm ET
Williams wasn’t happy with his playing time in a loss to the Warriors two games ago, and he ended up getting 31 minutes the next contest. Well, I’m anticipating Williams will flirt with 30 minutes against the Mavericks tonight, and a lot of that has to do with the matchup. Dallas once looked like a team that was ready to have the best center rotation in basketball, but Dereck Lively II is out for the year and Anthony Davis is gone. That leaves Daniel Gafford as the only remaining big, and the Mavs have suffered on the glass. That said, this is a game in which Williams should be able to dominate the offensive boards and convert a few putbacks. He should also have some finishes in pick-and-roll situations, or standard dump-off situations. So, at plus-money odds, I’m willing to take a chance on 13 points.
2025-26 NBA Record: 333-316 (+5.64 units)
