Tuesday Player Prop Best Bets
Below you’ll find my official plays on the player prop market for Tuesday. These are the ones that make the VSiN Pro Picks page and count towards my season-long record.
Tyler Herro Over 17.5 Points (-112) vs. Bucks

Herro is being eased back into action right now, having playing 23 minutes in back-to-back games since returning from injury. However, with the Heat coming off two full days of rest, I wonder if we’ll see the 26-year-old at closer to 26-27 minutes this evening. After all, he is playing in his home state of Wisconsin, so Erik Spoelstra might be willing to let him go a little longer.
Even if Herro doesn’t play more, I like him to have at least 18 points tonight. The Bucks are just a miserable defensive team when it comes to slowing down talented perimeter shot-makers. They’re 28th in the NBA when it comes to defending spot-ups and 20th defending in isolation. Milwaukee also happens to be 28th in the league defending above-the-break 3s, which account for nearly a third of Herro’s points.
I’m pretty high on the Bucks backcourt compared to most, but a lot of that has to do with the offense. I like what Kevin Porter Jr., Ryan Rollins, and Cam Thomas bring on that end of the floor. However, two of those three are negatives on the defensive end, which should allow Herro to get himself going.
Isaac Okoro Over 13.5 Points + Rebounds (-122) vs. Hornets
Hornets at Bulls – 8:00 pm ET
Since the NBA trade deadline, Okoro is averaging 13.2 points and 4.0 rebounds per game over five games. That’s good for 17.2 combined points and rebounds, and his total sits at 13.5 for that tonight. Well, I’m firing away on the Over. The Hornets are a good team, but they’re not the greatest when it comes to the defensive end — though they do a very good job of preventing opponents from taking high-quality shots from important parts of the floor.
There’s really no reason Okoro can’t make his mark in this game. He’s looking a little more aggressive and confident as a scorer, and he’s always a threat to score as a driver or cutter. There’s also clearly something coming down from either the front office or coaching staff with his shooting. Okoro has been way more willing to launch from deep, and he has been knocking down his open looks. I also like Okoro to hit the glass hard, especially when playing in some undersized lineups.
Donovan Clingan Over 2.5 Assists (+122) vs. Timberwolves
Timberwolves at Trail Blazers – 10:00 pm ET
The Blazers will be without Deni Avdija tonight, which could mean some more offensive responsibility for Clingan. The big man has been awesome lately, playing great interior defense while also finishing at the rim and spacing the floor on offense. Portland is also tapping into his passing a little more, which was something he was very good at with UConn. Clingan isn’t going to impress you with the way he makes passes, as it’s not as flashy as stuff you see from Nikola Jokic. However, he reads the floor at a very high level and can fit the ball into tight windows. That allows him to serve as a playmaking hub occasionally, and I think the Blazers might let him do some of that tonight.
In the last four games Clingan has played without Avdija, he has had at least three assists three times. He also had seven dimes in the most recent game. Well, at plus-money odds, I think it’s worth playing him to finish with three assists again. Minnesota is a good defensive team, but the group does occasionally fall asleep on cutters.
