Oaklawn Park Picks for Sunday, March 1:
CHALK CITY: What an outstanding 12-race card today at Oaklawn! Mr. Ed enjoyed several hours sipping a shot of Buffalo Trace while picking winners of the $1 million Rebel Stakes and the accompanying 11 contests. When all was sipped and done, his only complaint was that the many legitimate, short-priced favorites made finding playable alternatives difficult. Those who don’t like the taste of chalk should shop elsewhere for winning plays. Hey, you gotta play the cards you’re dealt. First post today is 1 p.m. ET/10 a.m PT. Here’s a look at the chalk-eating weasel’s feast of favorites.
Mr. Ed’s Selections at Oaklawn Park for Sunday (3/01)

Mr. Ed picks a pair to kick off early DD: #6 MY NOBLE KNIGHT (3-1 morning line) for fan-fave trainer Tom Amoss with Jose Ortiz returning to saddle, and #7 BRIGHT SPARK (2-1) for trainer Kevin Martin, who retains jockey Cristian Torres off sharp Place in last.

I like either of two to complete DD: #2 NORTHERN CHILL (5-1 morning line) for trainer Matt Shirer with a big rider upgrade to Jose Ortiz, and #4 SHARP SWINGER (5-2) for top trainer Mike Maker, who recruits Irad Ortiz to ride. Bros. Ortiz sweep?
