I only have a few plays for the loaded NBA slate on Friday, March 20. So, while I normally break things down with two separate articles, I’m bringing everything under one roof instead of splitting up sides/totals and player props — a streamlined look at my favorite bets for the day’s slate. Keep reading for my NBA picks and predictions for Friday.

PARLAY: Hawks Alt +10.5 vs. Rockets & Nuggets ML vs. Raptors (-130 – 1.5 units)

Raptors at Nuggets – 9:00 pm ET
I don’t have traditional sides or totals tonight, but I’m grabbing the Hawks on an alternate spread and pairing them with the Nuggets to beat the Raptors. Atlanta has won 11 games in a row, performing like the league’s best defense (104.2 Raw DRTG) and second-best offense (121.4 Raw ORTG). Of course, the Hawks really haven’t played anyone over the last few weeks, but they deserve credit for easily handling the opponents in front of them. And I think their strong, feisty defensive backcourt can trouble the Rockets in the same way the Lakers just did. Also, while Atlanta is 11-0 with a net rating of +17.2 in the last 11 games, Houston is 5-6 with a net rating of -5.0. These teams will eventually move in opposite operations, and it could even happen tonight. But I like the Hawks to keep it somewhat close. I also like the Nuggets to bounce back from a bad loss to the Grizzlies, as they had a day off to get some rest. Now, they host an average Raptors team at Ball Arena, where it’s difficult for road teams to win.
NBA Player Props Today
Duncan Robinson Over 11.5 Points (+100) vs. Warriors
Warriors at Pistons – 7:30 pm ET
Robinson is averaging 15.9 points per game without Cade Cunningham this year. That isn’t because the Pistons are suddenly putting the ball in his hands more, but everyone on Detroit needs to be a bit better without the superstar on the court. That includes Robinson. In looking at the numbers, his usage rate only goes up 2.9% without Cunningham, but there’s a little more purpose in looking to get him shots. Well, let’s hope that continues tonight. Robinson has scored at least 12 points in all eight of the games he has played without Cunningham this season, and he has had at least 15 in five of the games. This is going to be a harder matchup than most, as Golden State is disciplined off the ball. But Robinson is a very sharp off-ball mover, so he should get himself some looks.
Julius Randle Over 23.5 Points (-115) & Alt Points 30+ (+335 – 0.25 units) vs. Trail Blazers
Blazers at Timberwolves – 8:00 pm ET
Randle has played well without Anthony Edwards this season, scoring at least 24 points in eight of the 12 games. Also, in three of the games in which he didn’t reach the 24-point mark, Minnesota blew out its opponent. So, Randle has pretty consistently posted big scoring numbers without Edwards, which isn’t surprising with him being elevated to the No. 1 option. Randle’s usage rate goes up 4.7% without Edwards, and I think that’ll make for a big outing tonight. Portland is 29th in the NBA defending pull-up jumpers, which are a big part of Randle’s game. The Blazers are also weak in transition, plus they foul a lot. Well, with no big power forwards to deal with Randle’s strength, I can see him drawing a bunch of fouls here. That said, if he can just knock down a couple of triples, there’s a chance he posts a big number.
