NHL Predictions and Best Bets:
Here are tonight’s NHL predictions and best bets:
Vegas Golden Knights (31-25-14) at Dallas Stars (43-15-11)
Golden Knights (+125) at Stars (-150) – Total 6 (Over, -115)
7 p.m. ET
Both these teams are on the second half of a back-to-back, so we will see Adin Hill for Vegas and Casey DeSmith for Dallas. The Stars have won four straight over the Golden Knights, including both meetings this season (2-1, 5-4 shootout). Six of the last 10 regular-season meetings have gone past regulation, and three of the four that ended in regulation were decided by one goal. The Stars’ Mavrik Bourque has four goals in five games against Vegas goalie Adin Hill, and his teammate Wyatt Johnston has four goals in seven games versus Hill. On the Vegas side, Jack Eichel has three goals in three games against Dallas starting goalie Casey DeSmith.
NHL Regulation and Best Bets:
Regulation Draw (+310) – .20
Vegas +1.5/Canes-Pens Over 6.5 (+188) – .50
Mavrik Bourque anytime goal (+340) – .15
Jack Eichel anytime goal (+215) – .15
Tampa Bay Lightning (43-21-4) at Calgary Flames (28-34-7)

8 p.m. ET
Tampa is coming off a 5-2 win last night in Edmonton and is 3-0 on their road trip that wraps up tonight in Calgary. Jonas Johansson gets the start tonight for Tampa and he has been lit up like a Christmas tree in his last three starts, giving up 16 goals. I do view this as a letdown game for Tampa following last night’s win and it being the final game of the road trip. I am on the Flames goal team total and will ladder it up to 3.5 and sprinkle on the Flames to win the game. Calgary has won 54 consecutive games when scoring four goals or more. Yegor Sharangovich has six goals in 10 career games against Tampa.
NHL Predictions and Best Bets:
Calgary Flames Team Total Over 2.5 (-125) – 2 units
Calgary Flames Team Total Over 3 (+125) – .50
Calgary Flames Team Total Over 3.5 (+192) – .25
Calgary Flames Money Line (+150) – .10
Yegor Sharangovich anytime goal (+450) – .10
Los Angeles Kings (28-25-16) at Utah Mammoth (36-28-6)
Kings (+145) at Mammoth (-175) – Total 5.5 (-125)
9 p.m. ET
This is not a great spot for the Kings, coming into Utah on the second half of a back-to-back (also three games in four days) and therefore not having a day to adjust to the high elevation. It is true that the Mammoth have been struggling, having lost five of their past seven and four consecutive games at home.
I do feel that the scheduling advantage is in Utah’s favor. It is a revenge game for the Mammoth, who were doubled up by the Kings 4-2 in their previous meeting. On that occasion, I was all over LA to win that game as Utah was playing their first home game after six on the road. I am not interested in laying the big price with Utah on the money line, so I will parlay Utah to win the game with the Calgary Flames Team Total Over 2.5.
On to the player props. As I did yesterday, give me an Anze Kopitar/Adrian Kempe point parlay. Being able to parlay two players on a top line at “plus money” is something I will play all day long. Artemi Panarin, the third member of the line, has goals in back-to-back games and five goals in his last four games against Utah.
NHL Predictions and Best Bets:
Calgary Flames TT over 2.5/Utah ML (+176) – 1 unit
Anze Kopitar/Adrian Kempe point parlay (+125) – 1unit
Artemi Panarin anytime goal (+190) – .25
