For the first time in this Final, the Stanley Cup will be in the building as the Carolina Hurricanes are just one win away from winning their first Cup in 20 years. The Hurricanes have scored four or more goals in all five games of the Cup Final, and Game Five was the first time that Vegas did not score at least three goals in the Cup Final. All five games saw a combined six or more goals, and Game Five was the first game in the series that did not have at least seven combined goals. With all those numbers, I jumped on the Over 5.5 that many sportsbooks are offering. As of Saturday night, I am still waiting on my favorite parlay prop that has cashed for us in each of the first five games: Both teams alternate puck line (+2.5), along with the Over 4.5 total goals (or both teams to score 2+ goals). I will post that parlay on my Twitter/X feed on Sunday as soon as it becomes available.

On to the player props. I will continue to ride the Jordan Staal goal and shots on goal train. Staal has goals in all five games (six total) of the Final and has had at least two shots on goal in five straight and three or more shots on goal in back-to-back and three of the last four games. Taylor Hall has had at least two shots on goal in all five games of the final and three or more in four straight games, and Nikolaj Ehlers has five assists in the past two games.

Two Golden Knights player props that I am on for Game 6 will be a Brett Howden anytime goal and Carter Hart to go under his saves prop (26.5). Hart has gone Under this total in four of the five games, and if the Hurricanes strike quickly for a couple of goals or have a lead in the third period, both could lead to an early “pull” of the Vegas netminder. Howden leads the playoffs in goals with 14 and did not score in Game Five but has not gone consecutive games without scoring a goal since the first three games of the opening round against Utah.

NHL Predictions and Best Bets:
Total: Over 5.5 (-128) – 3 units
Staal/Hall each to have 2+ shots on goal (-105) – 2 units
Jordan Staal 3+ shots on goal (+170) – ½ unit
Jordan Staal anytime goal (+330) – ¼ unit
Nikolaj Ehlers Over ½ assist (+140) – ½ unit
Brett Howden anytime goal (+245) – ¼ unit
Carter Hart Under 26.5 saves (-125) – ½ unit
