Tuesday Player Prop Best Bets

Below you’ll find my official plays on the player prop market for Tuesday. These are the ones that make the VSiN Pro Picks page and count towards my season-long record.

Dylan Cardwell Over 12.5 Points + Rebounds (-115) vs. Hornets

Kings at Hornets – 7:00 pm ET

The Hornets have a high-energy big man in Moussa Diabate, who can really hurt teams with his athleticism and consistent activity around the basket. Well, there’s a chance the Kings need to match that energy, making Cardwell an intriguing option this evening. He’s a guy that has given Sacramento a lift whenever Doug Christie calls upon him. That said, I can see him playing some more minutes tonight, making him a decent play to go Over a low total in combined points and rebounds. However, I’ll also note that Cardwell is an interesting blowout player. Charlotte is a massive favorite this evening, making a lopsided score feel entirely possible. Well, in the nine games that Cardwell has played that Sacramento has lost by 15 or more points, he’s averaging 15.7 points and rebounds. He has also gone Over tonight’s combined total in all nine of those games. If you put him on the floor in garbage time, he’ll make his mark.

Saddiq Bey Over 17.5 Points (-115) vs. Knicks

Pelicans at Knicks – 7:30 pm ET

Bey always has lower point totals than you’d think for a consistent 20-point scorer, which probably has to do with New Orleans having other players with higher usage rates. However, backing Bey as a scorer has been one of the most consistent plays in basketball this year, and that hasn’t stopped lately. Bey comes into this one having scored at least 19 points in four straight games, and he has also gone Over tonight’s total in 13 of the last 16 games. This is also a matchup that could be better than you think for Bey. For starters, New York is just 23rd in the NBA defending catch-and-shoot triples, so Bey could get some good spot-up opportunities. However, I also believe the Knicks wing duo of Mikal Bridges and OG Anunoby has been disappointing when guarding in isolation this season, so Bey should be able to thrive with his three-level scoring skill set. After all, he had 26 points against New York on December 29.

Rasheer Fleming Over 6.5 Points (-118) vs. Nuggets

Nuggets at Suns – 11:00 pm ET

I’m not sure the Suns are going to be able to play big against the Nuggets. Oso Ighodaro is going to be giving up a lot of size against Nikola Jokic, and Khaman Maluach, who has shown some flashes for Phoenix lately, is just a little too young and raw to handle the three-time MVP. With that in mind, I think we’re going to see the Suns go to some small-ball, five-out lineups, which could mean more minutes for Fleming. The rookie is actually averaging 20.2 minutes per game over the last six games, so he has been getting more rotation minutes. He has also scored at least eight points in five of the last six, and he has also done it in four straight. That said, with a decent role tonight, I can see Fleming going Over his total of 6.5. He’s a good 3-point shooter and an athletic play finisher.
