Here are tonight’s NHL predictions and best bets.

Buffalo Sabres (+105) at Montreal Canadiens (-125)

Total 5.5 (-130) Series Tied at 1

7 p.m. ET

The Montreal Canadiens evened the series at a game apiece with a 5-1 victory in game two. It marked the 10th consecutive meeting between the two teams that have had a combined six goals or more. In addition, these teams have now faced off against each other six times this season, each winning three games.

While both these teams continue to cash the full game Over, I don’t feel as good about targeting points, goals and assists props as I do shots on goal props in this game. The Sabres’ Rasmus Dahlin has had at least four shots on goal in each of the first two games of this series and three shots on goal in five consecutive games. He has also registered three shots on goal or more in ten of his last 13 games against the Canadiens. Josh Doan has had three shots on goal or more in three straight, and his desire to drive to the net puts himself in great position to generate shots on goal.

On the Montreal side, Alex Newhook has had four shots on goal in each of the first two games, and we are getting him at plus money just to record two shots on goal. Nick Suzuki leads the team in scoring with seven points and has a pair of goals while generating seven shots on goal (4,3) in the two games. Defenseman Lane Hutson has recorded two shots on goal in six of the nine playoff games this year and six of his last eight games against the Sabres.

NHL Predictions and Best Bets: Over 5.5 (-130) – 2 unitsAlex Newhook Over 1.5 shots on goal (+105) – ½ unitLane Hutson Over 1.5 shots on goal (-135) – ½ unitRasmus Dahlin Over 2.5 shots on goal (-130) – ½ unitJosh Doan Over 2.5 shots on goal (+175) – ½ unitSuzuki/Newhook/Doan/Dahlin (+340) – ¼ unit

Vegas Golden Knights (-120) at Anaheim Ducks (+100)

Total 6.5 (Under, -114)Vegas leads series 2-1

9:30 p.m. ET

The Golden Knights handed the Anaheim Ducks their first home loss of the playoffs in game three and will look to take a commanding 3-1 series lead when the face-off tonight in Anaheim. Vegas has won all six playoff series they have been involved with when starting a series at home and leading two games to one.

Knights captain Mark Stone left game three in the first period with an apparent lower-body injury. His status for game four remains questionable. I don’t envision Stone playing tonight, and with that, Pavel Dorofeyev will likely get a bump to the top line, and that makes his player props very attractive. It’s hard to stay away from Mitch Marner, who has had a four-point and a two-point game in this series, and I will grab him tonight to get at least two points in game four.

Brett Howden continued his goal-scoring prowess in the postseason. Howden leads the team with six goals in the postseason and has goals in five of his last six games. Did not see this coming from Howden, after scoring only 12 goals in 58 regular-season games. Lastly, Vegas special teams have been outstanding in the playoffs, especially their penalty kill, which is 26 for 27, and they have scored three shorthanded goals. I will be on Anaheim Under ½ power play goal, available at BetRivers.

A couple of Anaheim props. Mason McTavish, a healthy scratch in game three, draws back into the lineup, and he brings some defiant energy. I like him to go Over his shot prop (1.5) tonight. Leo Carlsson has had at least three shots on goal in all but one playoff game this year. John Carlson has had at least two shots on goal in all nine playoff games. Beckett Sennecke has goals in each of the first two games of the series.

NHL Predictions and Best Bets:
Leo Carlsson 3+ shots/John Carlson 2+ shots (+108) – 1 unit
Brett Howden anytime goal (+340) – ¼ unit
Beckett Sennecke anytime goal (+280) – ¼ unit
Mason McTavish Over 1.5 shots on goal (+105) – ¼ unit
Pavel Dorofeyev Over 2.5 shots on goal (+100) – 1 unit
Pavel Dorofeyev Over ½ assist (+195) – ¼ unit
Pavel Dorofeyev anytime goal (+170) – ¼ unit
Anaheim Ducks under ½ power play goal (-134) – ½ unit
