Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Miami Marlins 1:10 PM ET
Xavier Edwards Over 1.5 Total Bases (+131 per DraftKings)
June hasn’t gotten off to the strongest start for Xavier Edwards, as he is batting just .222 with a .222 slugging percentage this month. Despite that, he has still managed a couple of multi-total-base performances, both coming via multiple-hit games.
Edwards showed much more power potential during May, posting a .509 slugging percentage while continuing to showcase the consistency that has made him one of Miami’s most reliable hitters. Even with the slow start to June, he still owns an impressive .304 batting average on the season.
The Diamondbacks are expected to send Merrill Kelly to the mound this afternoon. Edwards has some familiarity with Kelly, collecting 2 hits in 8 career at-bats. While Edwards has traditionally performed better against left-handed pitching, he has still been very productive against righties this season, batting .298 with a .424 slugging percentage.
Given Edwards’ overall body of work, prior experience against Kelly, and the strong form Miami has shown recently as a team, this feels like a solid opportunity for him to put together another productive day at the plate and clear the 1.5 total bases mark.

This series against the Cardinals has been a frustrating one for the Mets, but they have an opportunity to salvage the finale with St. Louis expected to utilize a bullpen game.
Carson Benge has been one of New York’s most consistent offensive contributors this season, batting .260 with a .717 OPS. His recent form has been especially impressive, as he is hitting .345 with a .724 slugging percentage over his last seven games. During that stretch, he has totaled 10 hits, 6 runs scored, and 5 RBIs.
The Cardinals’ bullpen has been average at best this season, ranking 15th in MLB with a 3.99 reliever ERA. Bullpen games can be difficult to navigate successfully over nine innings, as teams are forced to rely on multiple arms and matchups throughout the game.
Benge’s spot atop the lineup should also provide plenty of opportunities to contribute offensively. Whether it’s through multiple hits, scoring runs, or driving in teammates, he enters today’s matchup in excellent form and has a strong chance to clear this number.
Atlanta Braves vs. Chicago White Sox 7:40 PM ET
Martin Perez Over 4.5 Strikeouts (+119 per DraftKings)
After sweeping the Pirates in their previous series, the Braves have struggled to find their footing against the White Sox, dropping the first two games of this set in Chicago.
Atlanta will turn to veteran left-hander Martin Perez, who has quietly put together an excellent season. Through 13 appearances, Perez owns a 3.02 ERA and a 1.06 WHIP while continuing to provide stability in the Braves’ rotation.
One encouraging sign has been his improved strikeout rate. Perez currently owns a 7.46 K/9, comfortably above his career average of 6.40. While he has appeared in 13 games this season, only 9 have come as starts, and he has surpassed 4.5 strikeouts in 4 of those outings.
The matchup also works in his favor. Chicago ranks fifth in Major League Baseball in strikeouts this season with 611, making them one of the more swing-and-miss-prone lineups in the league. Perez also has prior experience against several hitters in the White Sox lineup, giving him a solid foundation for attacking this group.
If Perez can build off the momentum from his strong outing against Pittsburgh, this matchup presents a good opportunity for another quality performance and a chance to eclipse the 4.5 strikeout mark.
