Player props have become one of baseball’s most entertaining ways to bet, offering value well beyond the moneyline, run line, or game total. Each day, this column highlights the best opportunities on the board — from strikeouts and hits to total bases and pitcher outs recorded — using matchup data, recent form, and betting trends to identify edges. Keep reading for the top MLB player prop picks for May 11. Also, make sure you check out our live VSiN programming for more. Monday Player Prop Best Bets
Below you’ll find my official plays on the player prop market for Monday. These are the ones that make the VSiN Pro Picks page and count towards my season-long record. I’ll write three up per day, but I’ll add additional ones in an “Additional Best Bets” section. That’s also where you’ll find any late adds to my card. I go way lighter on these than I do NBA/NFL/CBB/CFB/Tennis. I also take a volume approach, as I’m working with a system I have found to be successful when it comes to shopping prices. My MLB units are 40% of what my normal units are.
Mike Trout Over 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-109) vs. Guardians
Angels at Guardians – 6:10 pm ET
Trout has cooled down a little over the last couple of days, but I like his chances of producing at the plate tonight. This season, Trout is averaging 2.1 hits, runs, and RBIs (HRR) per game when playing against left-handed starters. Well, it’ll be southpaw Joey Cantillo that will be on the mound for Cleveland tonight. Cantillo is a pitcher that relies heavily on his fastball and changeup, throwing those on 72% of his pitches. Well, Trout is in the 72nd percentile when looking at wOBA versus fastballs, plus he’s in the 79th percentile in slugging percentage versus changeups. That said, I can see him catching something here, doing a lot of damage in just one at-bat. I’ll take my chances with the Over on 1.5 HRR over the course of the game.
Kevin Gausman Over 4.5 Strikeouts (-143) vs. Rays
Rays at Blue Jays – 7:07 pm ET
The Rays don’t strike out all that often, plus Gausman has been in a bit of a slump with his swing-and-miss stuff. The righty comes into this one having recorded four or fewer strikeouts in four consecutive starts. However, I do have a hard time passing on a guy like Gausman to go Over a modest 4.5 strikeouts. After all, Gausman recorded five or more strikeouts in four consecutive starts to open the year. Gausman is also averaging 7.3 strikeouts per game when pitching in Toronto this season. Also, while Gausman only had three strikeouts against Tampa on May 5, the righty had at least five Ks in all three of his starts against the Rays a year ago.
Corey Seager Over 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-112) vs. Diamondbacks

While it’d be better if this game was being played in Arizona, I still like Seager to do some damage at the plate tonight. Seager is averaging 1.7 HRR per game when going up against right-handed starters this year. And while this game is expected to be low in scoring, Seager’s success against righties makes him one of the game’s likelier candidates to do some hitting. Also, for as good as Diamondbacks starter Michael Soroka can look, he has gotten shelled in his two road starts this season. He gave up four earned runs in 5.2 innings against the Phillies on April 10, which isn’t terrible. However, he gave up eight earned on 10 hits in 3.0 innings against the Brewers on April 30. Let’s see if he can avoid another poor away outing tonight.
