Washington Nationals vs. Pittsburgh Pirates 6:40 PM ET
Cade Cavalli Under 2.5 Earned Runs (-117 per DraftKings)
Embed from Getty ImagesWe’ve got quite the pitcher’s duel on our hands this evening in Pittsburgh between Cade Cavalli and Paul Skenes. Cavalli has had a strong start to the year with a 2.51 ERA through 14.1 innings pitched, and a 1.47 WHIP. This Pirates lineup does present an interesting test for Cavalli, which was not necessarily anticipated at the beginning of the season. At the plate, Pittsburgh is batting .238, which is 11th in the MLB, and is tied for 12th in total runs with 66. In Cavalli’s 3 starts, he has managed to hit the under on the 2.5 earned runs mark. He also has the benefit of this Pittsburgh lineup not having a ton of experience against him, which will play in his favor this evening.
Chicago Cubs vs. Philadelphia Phillies 6:40 PM ET
Trea Turner Under 1.5 Total Bases (-142 per DraftKings)
The Phillies begin their series today against the Chicago Cubs, and Javier Assad will be taking the mound for the Cubs. Trea Turner has faced Assad 5 times, where he has only had 1 hit, though it was a big fly. Turner has been pretty consistent this season, especially in comparison to the rest of the Phillies lineup, though it hasn’t come with a ton of high total-bases games. In his last 5 games he has had 4 games under 1.5 total bases; in his last 10 he has had 6 games under 1.5 total bases; and in his last 15 games, 9 have resulted with the under 1.5. One important thing of note is 3 of those games were played in Colorado, which is the most hitter-friendly park in the MLB. With how up and down the Phillies have been this year early on, I expect a slightly off game for Turner here.
Miami Marlins vs. Atlanta Braves 7:15 PM ET
Grant Holmes Over 5.5 Hits Allowed (+117 per DraftKings)
While Grant Holmes has gotten off to a strong start this season, he has been prone to giving up some hits. In his 3 starts this year he allowed 5 in his first and third games, and just one in his second. This evening Atlanta is playing division opponent Miami, so there’s already a lot of familiarity there, obviously. The Marlins have also been really solid at the plate, as they have 130 hits, which comes out to 8.125 per game, and is currently 7th in the MLB. With the value at +117, this one is just too hard to pass up.
Jakob Marsee Under 0.5 Singles (-121 per DraftKings)
Young Miami center fielder Jakob Marsee hasn’t had the best start to his 2026 season with just a .145 batting average, and in 3 of his 9 hits he has seen extra bases. This evening he will also be facing Grant Holmes for the first time, which will be sure to be a learning curve for him. Marsee has also had less than 0.5 singles in 4 of his last 5, 7 of his last 10, and 12 of his last 16, making the value at -121 really good in this spot.
New York Mets vs. Los Angeles Dodgers 10:10 PM ET
Francisco Alvarez Over 0.5 Singles (+138 per DraftKings)
Catcher Francisco Alvarez is one of the more consistent players at the plate for this New York Mets team, as he’s behind just 2 players on the team in the batting average department. Alvarez has run into a few home runs to start the season, but he still remains very dependable in the singles department. Alvarez has managed to have 4 singles in his last 5 games, as well as in 6 of his last 10 games, and 7 of his last 14 games. He and this entire Mets roster will be facing Justin Wrobleski for the first time tonight, who is a southpaw, which he is typically better against, looking back at last season particularly.
