Yesterday the Mets secured another series victory against the Los Angeles Angels and will remain out west as they begin a new series against the Rockies this evening. Bo Bichette had a really strong series against the Angels, as he managed to go 5 for 14, with 5 total bases.

The month of May obviously just started, but that puts him at .357 for the month, as he slowly starts to build up his season average of .243. Tonight he will have a favorable matchup against Tomoyuki Sugano, who he is 3 for 4 against, with a 1.800 OPS, in what has been the most hitter-friendly ballpark this season by a wide margin.

Sugano’s H/9 is down from last season at 7.96, but his career average is still 9.59, so I expect his season H/9 to slowly creep closer to his career H/9, which could very easily start tonight, given this Mets offense is starting to hit a little bit of a stride.

Philadelphia Phillies vs. Miami Marlins 6:40 PM ET

Aaron Nola Over 5.5 Strikeouts (+114 per DraftKings)

2026 hasn’t exactly been the best for Aaron Nola, as he currently has a 6.03 ERA, with a 1.56 WHIP in 31.1 innings of work. With that being said, his strikeout numbers are still there, as he has recorded 35 K’s up to this point, making his K/9 10.05, which is his highest mark since the 2022 season.

Nola had to deal with some injury issues during the 2025 season, so he hasn’t pitched against this Marlins lineup since 2024. In his first outing against Miami in 2024, we saw Nola put up an impressive 9 K’s, and in the second he managed to produce 5 K’s.

This Marlins team currently ranks right smack in the middle when it comes to total strikeouts this season with 283, but one thing that is important to note is they’ve played 1 less game than many teams ahead of them in the strikeout department. Though Nola hasn’t been his usual self this year, I think we will see him put up some K’s this evening.

Connor Norby Over 0.5 Hits (-165 per DraftKings)

Miami first baseman Connor Norby has been on par with his career averages to start the season, as he is currently batting .238, just below his career average of .244. His OPS this year has actually been up at .735 versus his career OPS of .710.

He has been really solid throughout this Phillies series, as he has gone 3 for 8 thus far, and he only had 1 AB in the first game. Norby also has a really strong track record against Nola as well, having a .667 average against him with 1 home run, and an OPS of 2.334.

We’ve also seen Nola’s H/9 up to its highest mark of his career this year, as he currently has a 10.34 H/9, significantly above his career average of 8.03. While I think we’ll see a better performance out of Nola tonight, he will still give up a fair share of hits.

Atlanta Braves vs. Seattle Mariners 9:40 PM ET

Atlanta Braves Under 3.5 Runs (-125 per DraftKings)

Atlanta is coming off of their second sweep of the season against the Colorado Rockies, as they now travel northwest to take on the Seattle Mariners. This will be quite the contrast from last series, going from the most hitter-friendly ballpark in the MLB, to one of the least hitter-friendly ballparks.

The game total in this contest is currently listed at 7.5, indicating the sportsbooks expect this to be a low-scoring affair. Seattle will be starting Logan Gilbert tonight, who allowed 2 or fewer runs in 4 out of 5 games in the month of April.

He pitched against the Braves in Atlanta last year, where he went 6.0 innings allowing just 5 hits, 1 run, and 7 strikeouts. Gilbert has been very effective against most of this Braves lineup, as a vast majority of the lineup are under .250 against him. He has also limited RBIs against this order, and I expect much of the same going into the game tonight.
