Philadelphia Phillies vs. Atlanta Braves 1:35 PM ET

Aaron Nola Over 5.5 Hits Allowed (-132 Per DraftKings)

Aaron Nola has struggled out of the gate for the Phillies, holding a 5.06 ERA and a 1.46 WHIP. Things don’t get any easier today going up against a familiar Atlanta Braves lineup, who tend to see him pretty well. The Braves are starting Chris Sale today, who in all likelihood will go deep into this game, requiring the Phillies to have Nola on the mound longer than they probably would like. He also currently holds a H/9 of 9.79, which is the highest of his career.

Colorado Rockies vs. New York Mets Game 1 1:40 PM

Nolan McLean Over 7.5 Strikeouts (-102 per DraftKings)

The Rockies and the Mets have a little doubleheader on their hands today. In game 1, the Mets will be starting Nolan McLean, who has been an effective starter for this organization this season, holding an impressive 2.67 ERA, and a 0.76 WHIP.

Considering it is a doubleheader, the Mets will probably want McLean to stay on the mound and pitch longer than normal, to save those bullpen arms. The Rockies have struggled on the road, and McLean has great swing-and-miss stuff, recording 8 or more Ks in 4 of his 5 starts this season. At close to plus money, it’s hard to pass up this opportunity for McLean.

Max Meyer Under 2.5 Earned Runs Allowed (-167 per DraftKings)

Max Meyer has been one of the more consistent arms for the Marlins rotation in April. Pitching in Oracle Park, which is one of the most hitter-friendly ballparks, against a lineup that hasn’t really been clicking on all cylinders makes this a good value pick this afternoon. Meyer currently has a 3.96 ERA in 25.0 innings pitched, with a 1.24 WHIP.

In Meyer’s 5 starts this season, he has allowed 2 or fewer earned runs in 3 of those 5, and has stayed around the 80 to 90 pitch range for the most part.
