The big story in this game today is JR Ritchie making his MLB debut on the mound for the Atlanta Braves. That said, there aren’t many, if any, sportsbooks that will have props for him, simply because it is hard to say how he will perform against an MLB lineup. That said, the sportsbooks seem to think this will be a high-scoring game, as the total here is around 9.5, and I’m riding with the hot bat of Drake Baldwin.

He is batting .320 this season, with a .954 OPS, and has been red hot in April. In this Nationals series alone, he has 5 hits, with a total of 12 total bases. He will be facing Cade Cavalli for the first time today, but he has only pitched through 5 innings once this season and struggles with command at times.

With this being a day game, and the Braves lineup wanting to put up some runs for the debut guy, I think Baldwin is set up for a solid day at the plate.

Washington Nationals Team Total Runs Over 4.5 (+110 per DraftKings)

Though this Nationals team has had some troubles closing out games this season, they’ve been able to score a solid amount of runs this season. In 7 of their last 10 games, they’ve managed to score 5 or more runs. In the Braves series alone, they scored 4 runs in the first game, 11 in the second game, and 6 in the third game.

Today they will be facing JR Ritchie, making his MLB debut, who will certainly be on a pitch count, to get him acclimated to pitching in the big leagues. It will be interesting to see how the Nationals lineup will approach at-bats against Ritchie, but obviously they will be looking to make him uncomfortable early.

Considering this is also a day game, I think the Nationals will be able to generate a good number of runs.

Philadelphia Phillies vs. Chicago Cubs 2:20 PM ET

Alec Bohm Under 1.5 Total Bases (-195 per DraftKings)

2026 has been a statistical anomaly in Alec Bohm’s career, and not in a good way. Though he had a decent performance at the plate yesterday, he is still batting .146 on the season, with a .412 OPS. Until he’s able to string multiple games together, recording hits and getting extra-base hits, he is going to be a guy to fade.

The Cubs will have Edward Cabrera on the mound this afternoon, who has been really effective this season, with 22.2 innings under his belt, with a 2.38 ERA, a 1.28 WHIP, and a 7.15 H/9. Against Cabrera, Bohm is batting .154 with a .467 OPS, and this has been across 13 at-bats. If Cabrera is able to continue what he has been doing to start the season, expect another slow day at the plate for Bohm.

Minnesota Twins vs. New York Mets 7:10 PM ET

Bo Bichette Over 1.5 Total Bases (+146 per DraftKings)

Finally, the Mets were able to snap their 12-game losing streak yesterday after a 3-2 victory over the Twins. Bichette had himself a good performance, going 1 for 4 with a double, and a run. It seems like he is turning the corner this season, as he has recorded a lot of hits in the last few games, with 7 hits in his last 10 games.

A lot of those games came with just 1 total base, but the better he’s seeing the ball, the more likely he will be able to produce extra-base hits with hard contact. He will be facing a familiar arm today in Joe Ryan, who he is batting .300 against across his career, with a .717 OPS in 10 at-bats.

Perhaps that win yesterday will build some momentum for this team, and I think Bichette will be an integral part of that shift.
