CJ Abrams Over 0.5 Hits (-168 per DraftKings)

Yesterday, the Washington Nationals officially secured the series victory against the Cincinnati Reds by taking the first two games. Now they’ll look to complete the sweep this afternoon, and CJ Abrams has been a huge part of the offense lately.

Abrams had another strong performance yesterday, recording 2 hits and scoring 2 runs. The month of May has been especially productive for him, as he is currently batting .295 with a .500 slugging percentage, somehow slightly below his already impressive season averages of .296 and .539.

The matchup today is certainly not easy, as the Nationals will face talented rookie arm Chase Burns, who has looked excellent on the mound so far. Even so, Burns has allowed his fair share of hits at times, and with how hot this Nationals lineup has been offensively, Abrams feels like a strong candidate to continue his consistency at the plate this afternoon.

Detroit Tigers vs. New York Mets 1:10 PM ET

Nolan McLean Over 6.5 Strikeouts (-131 per DraftKings)

We’ve already seen some electric stuff from Nolan McLean early in the 2026 season. Through 8 starts, he owns a stellar 2.78 ERA and a 0.90 WHIP, while piling up 57 strikeouts. That averages out to 7.12 strikeouts per game and an elite 11.32 K/9.

McLean has not reached 7 strikeouts in either of his last two starts, but he still has surpassed this number in 5 of his 8 outings overall this season.

Tonight’s matchup also lines up nicely against the Detroit Tigers, who currently rank in the top half of baseball in strikeouts with 362 on the season. Pitching at home should also work in McLean’s favor, as his swing-and-miss stuff has looked especially sharp in Queens this year.

With the combination of elite strikeout upside and a Tigers lineup that can be vulnerable to punchouts, McLean is set up for another strong outing this afternoon.

Miami Marlins vs. Minnesota Twins 1:40 PM ET

Xavier Edwards Over 1.5 Total Bases (+115 per DraftKings)

When Xavier Edwards is producing offensively, the Miami Marlins tend to play very good baseball. In today’s day game at Target Field, which has played very hitter-friendly recently, Edwards looks set up for another productive performance.

While his batting average in May has dipped slightly to .273 compared to his .318 season average, his power numbers have actually improved. His slugging percentage sits at .568 this month versus .484 overall on the season.

Over his last 5 games, Edwards has surpassed 1.5 total bases in 3 contests and has already launched 2 home runs during that stretch.

The Twins are expected to send Zebby Matthews to the mound for his season debut, meaning he could still be shaking off rust against a Miami lineup that has handled right-handed pitching well. The Marlins are batting .251 against righties this season, and Edwards himself has been even better on the road, hitting .339 with a .516 slugging percentage away from home.

Philadelphia Phillies vs. Boston Red Sox 6:45 PM ET

Trea Turner Over 1.5 Total Bases (+115 per DraftKings)

Since Trea Turner ended up out of the lineup last night, we’ll circle back to him again tonight as the Philadelphia Phillies face former teammate Ranger Suárez.

Turner is actually the Phillies hitter with the most experience against Suárez, owning a .300 batting average and an .864 OPS across 10 career ABs against the left-hander.

Even though Turner only appeared as a pinch hitter last night, he still managed to draw a walk, which suggests he is seeing the ball well despite his recent slump. While his splits against left-handed pitching have not been great this season, that was not the case in 2025, when he hit .323 with a .460 slugging percentage against southpaws.

Playing at Fenway Park also helps offensively, and this feels like a strong bounce-back spot for Turner to produce extra-base damage tonight.

Chicago Cubs vs. Atlanta Braves 7:15 PM ET

Matt Olson Over 0.5 RBI’s (+151 per DraftKings)

The Chicago Cubs appear set to utilize a bullpen-heavy approach tonight against the Atlanta Braves, which could create a favorable offensive environment for Atlanta’s middle of the order.

Matt Olson has been putting together an MVP-caliber campaign and continues to thrive batting cleanup with runners on base. He has recorded at least 1 RBI in 3 of his last 5 games and in 7 of his last 10 overall.

Olson has also crushed right-handed pitching this season, batting .313 with an elite .698 slugging percentage in those matchups. While Ben Brown is expected to open the game for Chicago, Olson has faced him before and recorded a hit in 1 of 4 ABs.

Since Brown is unlikely to work deep into the game, Olson should also get multiple opportunities against the Cubs bullpen, making this a strong spot for Atlanta’s cleanup hitter to drive in a run tonight.
