Game 4: Detroit Pistons at Cleveland Cavaliers – 8:00 pm ET

Pistons lead series 2-1

We saw some tense moments for the Cavaliers in Game 3, but the team ultimately found a way to get back in the series. Donovan Mitchell poured in 35 points in the victory, while James Harden had 19 points and seven assists. Harden also came up huge in the fourth quarter, scoring when Cleveland absolutely needed him most.

Now that the Cavaliers have seen one go through the net, I do think Cleveland will find a way to get this series to 2-2. That’s why you’ll see below that I have the Cavaliers moneyline in a two-leg parlay with the Thunder moneyline. Cleveland finally woke up offensively, scoring 119.6 points per 100 possessions in Game 3, looking way more like the team we saw in the regular season. The Cavaliers should be able to play with some more freedom in this one. However, while I do like Cleveland, I can’t bring myself to lay any points. I might do it in the KillerSports contest, but the Cavaliers play with their food too much. Even in Game 3, they had several chances to open the game up, but they lost Cade Cunningham on a few possessions down the stretch. That’s inexplicable. So, while I’m hoping for the best with the Cavaliers, I’m sticking to player props when it comes to playing this game on its own.

One prop I like is one of the same ones I played in Game 3: Harden Over 3.5 first quarter points at -125. I’m stunned to see this is still down at such a low number. While Harden was somewhat fortunate to go Over this number in Game 3, he has gone Over his first quarter total in every single home game he has played in the postseason. Also, with the way he played towards the end of Game 4, you’d have to think he’ll come into this one with some real confidence.

I’m also playing Mitchell to finish with at least five rebounds. Mitchell is averaging 8.0 rebounds per game over the last two games, so he has been hitting the glass hard in this series. Mitchell has also gone Over 4.5 boards in seven of the 10 games he has played in the postseason, so we’re getting plus-money odds on something he has done with regularity.

Bet: Harden Over 3.5 First Quarter Points (-125)
Bet: Mitchell Over 4.5 Rebounds (+120)

Game 4: Oklahoma City Thunder at Los Angeles Lakers – 10:30 pm ET

Thunder lead series 3-0

I can’t see the Lakers winning this game, but I don’t feel comfortable laying double digits with a road favorite in the playoffs. So, while I do feel good about the Thunder winning this one, the way I did it is by throwing them in a moneyline parlay. I know that’s not a groundbreaking strategy, but I’d rather not force any sides or totals. We always have the option of playing player props, so why not go there?

The prop I’m playing in this game is for Ajay Mitchell to have at least 25 combined points, rebounds, and assists. Mitchell is averaging 30.3 PRA per game since the start of this series, doing a great job of filling in for Jalen Williams. The Lakers are doing everything they can to get the ball out of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s hands, and that has given Mitchell all kinds of opportunities. Well, Mitchell is knocking down shots, attacking the rim, setting teammates up, and chipping in on the glass. I don’t see that changing in Game 4. This Los Angeles defense was very unorganized in Game 3, and there’s a chance LA folds with this series now out of hand.

Bet: Mitchell Over 24.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-115)
