The 2026 Internazionali BNL d’Italia (also known at the Italian Open) is in full swing at the Foro Italico in Rome. We’ve broken down the day’s best tennis betting picks, digging into matchup tactics, surface tendencies, and current form to find the sharpest edges on the board. Whether you’re betting the moneyline, game spread, set spread, or total, our 2026 Internazionali BNL d’Italia best bets are built to help you profit. I’m dropping some of my favorite plays for Sunday, May 10 below, but make sure you also monitor the picks page throughout the day. I generally have a few more picks over there, plus I occasionally add plays based on how lines are moving. That’s also where Gill Alexander posts his best bets.
Casper Ruud vs. Jiri Lehecka
Dino Prizmic vs. Ugo Humbert
Lehecka is a player with big-time power and he’s dangerous against anyone. However, this is a match that I expect Ruud to win. Ruud is one of the best clay-court players on the planet, and his game is super tough to overcome in slower conditions. Ruud just understands how to construct points, utilizing his big, heavy topspin forehand to consistently be in control. He’s also always moving his feet as he looks to move forward and put points away. In this match specifically, I think his tennis IQ will be massive. I also think the slower courts will do their part in neutralizing Lehecka’s weapons. Ruud is also 2-0 in two career meetings with Lehecka, and his TennisViz Performance Rating over the last 52 weeks is higher (7.92 vs. 7.68). That rating doesn’t even get into the clay-court difference between the two.
In the other match, Prizmic is coming off the biggest win of his life. That’s always a little alarming, as I’m a big believer in let-down spots across all sports. However, Prizmic is much more comfortable playing his brand of tennis on clay. Humbert is a flat-hitting power player, which doesn’t really play up in these conditions. Humbert also struggles to play his best tennis outdoors. So, I’m hoping Prizmic can push aside that last win, as he has a fantastic opportunity ahead of him.

Khachanov is a player I’m always quick to back, but this hasn’t been his season. He has been distracted and banged up, leading to some serious inconsistency in the results. This year, the Russian is just 8-11 in his 19 matches, with his returning (16.0% break rate) and baseline play really falling off. Well, you need to be able to stay solid to beat a player like van de Zandschulp, who is an absolute grinder out there.
Van de Zandschulp also happens to be playing some good tennis lately. In fact, on the season, he’s 11-9 and has a winning percentage of 55.0%. That’s the highest he has posted at the ATP level since 2022. Van de Zandschulp has also had more success on clay than he has had anywhere else.
Overall, I’ll just take a player that is playing well over someone that is struggling to find form. I also love that Khachanov opened at -197 at DraftKings Sportsbook, but he’s down to -145 despite nearly all of the tickets and handle favoring the Russian. That’s an interesting nugget I found on our betting splits page, which is linked below.
Bet: Van de Zandschulp ML (+123 – 1.5 units)
