Player props have become one of baseball’s most entertaining ways to bet, offering value well beyond the moneyline, run line, or game total. Each day, this column highlights the best opportunities on the board — from strikeouts and hits to total bases and pitcher outs recorded — using matchup data, recent form, and betting trends to identify edges. Keep reading for the top MLB player prop picks for May 30. Also, make sure you check out our live VSiN programming for more. Saturday Player Prop Best Bets
Below you’ll find my official plays on the player prop market for Saturday. These are the ones that make the VSiN Pro Picks page and count towards my season-long record. On Saturdays and Sundays, I’m going to keep these much shorter to cut down on my workload a little.
Framber Valdez Over 5.5 Strikeouts (+127) vs. White Sox
Tigers at White Sox – 2:10 pm ET
Valdez hasn’t had the greatest season as a swing-and-miss pitcher, striking out only 4.5 batters per game. However, that number goes up to 5.3 per game when looking at the last seven starts, and this matchup is as good as you can possibly ask for. Chicago’s 24.2% strikeout rate is tied for the third-worst mark in baseball in 2026.
Trey Yesavage Over 6.5 Strikeouts (+115) vs. Orioles
Blue Jays at Orioles – 4:05 pm ET
Yesavage has only had one start in which he has racked up at least seven strikeouts this year, and that was an eight-strikeout performance against the Yankees on May 20. Well, I like Yesavage to strike out another 7+ in this one. The Orioles have the fourth-highest strikeout rate (23.6%) in baseball against righties this year.
Embed from Getty ImagesRyan Weathers Over 5.5 Strikeouts (-137 – 1.5 units) & Alt Strikeouts 7+ (+148 – 0.5 units) vs. Athletics
Yankees at Athletics – 10:05 pm ET
There’s no denying these teams will be playing in hitter-friendly conditions tonight, so Weathers might not be able to completely keep the A’s off the scoreboard. But as far as strikeouts go, why can’t he reach six or seven pretty comfortably? This season, Weathers is averaging 6.5 strikeouts per game. Well, that’s pretty hard to go away from against an Athletics team that has a 24.8% strikeout rate against southpaws. Only four teams have worse marks.
