Churchill Downs Picks for June 12:
HORSING AROUND WITH MR. ED: Each year between the Belmont Stakes in early June and the opening of the annual six-week meet at Saratoga Race Course in late July, Mr. Ed takes a sabbatical from any serious handicapping and wagering. Oh, he’ll be here at VSiN, with his top Friday & Saturday racing plays, but his mind and money will be elsewhere, i.e. pro golf and the PGA Championship, football camps and the upcoming pre-season, and deciding whether to go to Las Vegas in 2027 for an NFL Playoffs weekend or March Madness. You won’t catch him betting on the NBA playoffs (Knicks or no Knicks), NASCAR, or the World Cup. Mr. Ed’s motto: You won’t find him wasting his hard-earned SS & IRA checks on things he knows little about. He’ll wait and lose it on things he sure as Hell thinks he knows something about — like Commandment in the Belmont!
